The Transport and Dispatch Manager will oversee the strategic implementation and daily management of a comprehensive Transport Department. This position demands leadership in driving operational transformation while ensuring compliance and full accountability for both in-house and outsourced logistics operations. Critical responsibilities include mitigating operational risks such as fuel theft, unauthorized route changes, and driver misconduct, coordinating interdepartmental delivery schedules, maintaining strict regulatory adherence, and deploying technology-based solutions to improve efficiency, transparency, and cost efficiency.

Proven expertise in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, Fleet Management Systems, GPS Tracking Systems, or Transportation Management Software is required.

We seek candidates with three to five or more years of hands-on experience in transport operations, dispatch coordination, fleet supervision, or logistics management.

Key responsibilities include overseeing project execution, ensuring all deliverables meet established benchmarks, and fostering cross-functional collaboration to maintain alignment with organizational objectives. Duties entail analyzing performance metrics, identifying process improvements, and implementing strategic initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency. Additionally, the role demands active participation in team meetings, providing leadership during critical decision-making phases, and communicating progress to stakeholders at all levels. A strong emphasis is placed on adhering to deadlines, managing resources effectively, and upholding compliance with industry regulations while driving continuous innovation within assigned responsibilities.

To ensure efficiency and accountability, you will oversee garage operations and mechanic performance by tracking repair turnaround times against established benchmarks and documenting compliance with established standards.

Establish and uphold a structured preventive maintenance program to minimize instances of equipment failure and maximize the longevity of critical assets.

Collaborate directly with the Watch Tower to ensure accurate, up-to-the-minute tracking of daily truck availability.

Monitor and enhance truck turnaround duration for each trip to ensure ongoing efficiency improvements.

Precisely monitor and validate fuel consumption, mileage records, and petty cash submissions to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Source, contract, and oversee third-party logistics providers while ensuring adherence to the company’s standards, regulatory requirements, and compliance obligations.

Develop and execute strategies to reduce operational expenses through route optimization, strict enforcement of fuel efficiency protocols, and systematic oversight of spare parts inventory.

Serve as the primary yard coordinator, maintaining order, enforcing discipline, and ensuring strict compliance with standard operating procedures.

Establish and track driver key performance indicators, including turnaround time, adherence to safety protocols, fuel efficiency metrics, and on-time delivery performance.
