Role Summary
The Batch Hair Technician plays a pivotal role in elevating brand credibility and market visibility by rigorously batch-testing all hair care products and analyzing evolving trends and consumer demands. Within the hair care team, this position involves contributing to tailored salon training initiatives and executing compelling product demonstrations. Operating from Kenya, the role prioritizes upholding technical superiority through stringent quality assurance practices, alongside mentoring professional stylists, salon partners, and internal sales representatives. Serving as a critical liaison, the technician ensures hair products consistently align with quality benchmarks, market expectations, and brand and manufacturing specifications.
Overseeing a range of critical duties, the position involves managing key operational tasks, ensuring adherence to organizational standards, and driving efficiency across assigned functions. Design and implement a comprehensive regional training calendar, encompassing diverse learning opportunities such as workshops, seminars, and trade show demonstrations, to foster professional growth and development across the organization.
Technical Sales Support: Collaborate closely with the sales team to enhance product sell-in and deliver comprehensive technical product knowledge training to the sales representatives.
Market Intelligence: Assess emerging trends within the hair care sector and track competitor actions to identify opportunities for product enhancements and potential line extensions.
Relationship Management involves overseeing technical inquiries, addressing product complaints, and onboarding new salon partners to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.
Ensure the consistent application of products and maintain brand visibility throughout professional salon settings to advocate effectively for the brand.
Seeking a candidate with a strong academic background in a relevant field and at least three years of hands-on experience in a comparable role. Proficiency in industry-specific software and tools is essential, along with excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. The ideal applicant will demonstrate a track record of delivering measurable results and working collaboratively in cross-functional teams. Attention to detail and a commitment to continuous learning are also required. Familiarity with current industry trends and best practices is expected to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
A Diploma in Hairdressing and Beauty is required.
A minimum of four years of practical experience as a professional stylist is required.
Proficiency in both English and Kiswahili is required.
Experienced in advanced hair care techniques, possesses proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, and demonstrates exceptional presentation abilities.
A strategic-minded professional, highly disciplined in organizational practices, assertive in execution, and meticulously presented.
Proficient in hairstyling techniques and staying current with industry trends is highly advantageous.
