What You’ll Do
At DAKOTA, you will assume leadership of the AI Operations team from the outset, overseeing its delivery, expanding its capabilities, and demonstrating its strategic impact. Your team will develop automation solutions and intelligent agents for internal applications while serving as trusted advisors, guiding Engineering in embedding AI into customer-facing products. Embark on a mission to merge innovative AI technologies with meaningful initiatives that advance digital and financial inclusion across Africa.
You will be responsible for overseeing a range of critical tasks, including managing project timelines, coordinating team efforts, and ensuring all deliverables meet established standards. Key duties involve liaising with stakeholders to gather requirements, monitoring progress through regular reporting, and addressing any obstacles that may impede workflow efficiency. Additionally, you will be tasked with evaluating performance metrics, implementing process improvements, and fostering collaboration across departments to achieve organizational objectives. Proficiency in relevant tools and methodologies, along with strong analytical and communication skills, is essential for success in this role.
Oversee a team of two AI Ops Engineers, assuming full responsibility for their project delivery, technical development, and daily operational activities.
Efficiently prioritize tasks by adeptly handling concurrent demands from various teams, utilizing a structured prioritization framework you will both establish and refine.
Develop and deploy automation solutions and intelligent agents designed to deliver tangible enhancements in efficiency and productivity for both internal teams and customer-facing staff.
Ensure the robustness and efficiency of the AI tooling infrastructure as its adoption expands to support over 2,500 team members.
To maintain awareness of the latest advancements in AI tools and technologies, it is essential to discern between fleeting trends and genuinely impactful innovations.
Assist in enhancing AI training initiatives across the broader organization, encompassing various Engineering teams.
Technical Environment
Experience with AI and agentic frameworks is required, including proficiency with Claude, Claude Code, Anthropic tooling, Lang Chain, MCP, and Google ADK (or comparable agentic frameworks).
Automation and Prototyping: Developing scripts and workflow tools, leveraging AI-assisted development, and creating rapid prototypes using platforms such as Tercel and Railway.
Enterprise Tooling: Entry identity automation, internal platform development, and integrations with Notion and HiBob.
Twelve months have passed since the deployment of automated processes in production using Claude, Notion, HiBob, and Entry.
