Each day, design and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities for the children in alignment with the established curriculum, schemes of work, and lesson plans to ensure their social, physical, and emotional development is fully supported.

Collaborate with the resident teacher to establish a classroom environment that fosters learning, aligns with students’ developmental stages and interests, and remains structured and purposeful.

Engage proactively in a range of professional development opportunities, such as daily team meetings and reflective sessions, weekly meetings focused on professional growth, instructional coaching, and institution-wide learning and reflection initiatives.

Collaborate effectively with the resident teacher to continuously evaluate student progress through ongoing assessments. Utilize assessment data to modify instructional content and refine delivery methods as needed.

Deliver a diverse range of materials and resources that encourage children to engage through exploration, manipulation, and hands-on interaction, supporting both structured learning activities and imaginative play.

Provide guidance and supervision to students regarding the proper operation and maintenance of equipment and materials to minimize risks of injury and prevent damage.

Design and facilitate programs that foster physical, cognitive, and social growth through engaging activities like games, arts and crafts, music, and storytelling.

Prepare and set up materials, classrooms, and both indoor and outdoor spaces to support engaging play, educational activities, and the development of motor skills while ensuring a safe environment.

ABOUT YOU

Required Skills and Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field, along with a minimum of three years of professional experience in software development. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++ is essential, as is experience with frameworks like Spring, Django, or .NET. Candidates should demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the capacity to work collaboratively in a team environment. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, as well as version control systems like Git, is highly desirable. Additionally, prior experience with Agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines is preferred.

TSC certification and an educational qualification, such as a Degree in Education or a P1 Diploma, are essential prerequisites for this position.

With a minimum of one to three years of prior teaching experience, you will effectively engage students through innovative instructional methods. You will contribute to lesson planning, curriculum development, and classroom management to foster an inclusive and dynamic learning environment. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential to ensure seamless lesson delivery and student assessment.
