What We Are Looking For

A Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Architecture from an accredited Kenyan university is required. Domain expertise is highly regarded as the cornerstone of planning proficiency.

Analytical Horsepower: Candidates must successfully complete comprehensive aptitude assessments that evaluate abstract reasoning, numerical analysis, and critical thinking abilities. Our stringent evaluation standards reflect the elevated expectations of our international clients.

Technical Fluency: Strong proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, or comparable scheduling software, along with a solid grasp of data-driven analysis and spreadsheet modeling. Exceptional ability to communicate project management challenges effectively and execute on-site construction activities by developing comprehensive Money-Ready Plans (MRPs)—covering technical specifications, cost estimates, logistics, and quality assurance. Demonstrated leadership in managing diverse teams, including internal staff and external contractors. Capable of leveraging AI-assisted tools to enhance operational workflows.

Character: Demonstrates strong self-motivation, intellectual integrity, and adaptability in uncertain situations while maintaining the ability to deliver exceptional results autonomously. Our evaluation places significant emphasis on mindset as much as capability.

To apply, please send your CV along with a concise written response (maximum 500 words) addressing the following scenario: “A client in the Middle East has commissioned a mixed-use commercial tower, with a strict requirement to reach structural completion within 18 months from the commencement of works. The MEP subcontractor has advised a four-week delay in rough-in activities on levels 12–18 due to delayed shop drawing approvals, while the façade contractor’s program is scheduled to progress floor-by-floor, starting from Level 10. You are tasked with identifying three critical-path risks stemming from this delay and proposing one mitigation strategy for each. Clearly outline any assumptions made in your response.”

Eligible candidates should submit their CV to recruitment@excelon.co.ke, ensuring the position title is specified in the subject line of the email.
