Oversee the full spectrum of operational duties, ensuring seamless workflows and adherence to established protocols. Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency, and quality across all projects. Monitor performance metrics, analyze trends, and provide data-driven recommendations to senior leadership. Deliver thorough ophthalmic care encompassing both outpatient services and surgical procedures.

Skilled professionals will conduct cataract surgery procedures independently, utilizing Manual Small Incision Cataract Surgery (MICS) and Small Incision Cataract Surgery (SICS) techniques.

Uphold stringent protocols to ensure patient safety, enhance surgical quality, and maintain precise and thorough documentation.

Engage in clinical governance initiatives, conduct audits, participate in continuing medical education (CME) programs, and contribute to quality improvement efforts to enhance healthcare standards and patient outcomes.

Collaborate effectively with diverse teams across various disciplines to ensure the provision of outstanding patient care.

We seek candidates who possess a minimum of five years of relevant professional experience, complemented by a Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Ideal applicants will demonstrate expertise in project management, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams. Proficiency in industry-specific software and tools, along with strong analytical and communication abilities, is essential. Additionally, familiarity with regulatory compliance and best practices will be advantageous for success in this role.

MB ChB degree or equivalent, coupled with an Med in Ophthalmology, is required for consideration.

Registered and licensed by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC), this position ensures full compliance with professional standards and regulatory requirements.

Proven proficiency in performing Manual Small Incision Cataract Surgery (MICS) and Small Incision Cataract Surgery (SICS) is required.

Proven capability to oversee ophthalmic clinics and surgical schedules autonomously is essential.

Exceptional clinical reasoning, unwavering professionalism, and polished communication abilities are required.

DESIRABLE

COE CSA Fellowship or an equivalent credential is required for this position.

Experienced in performing phacoemulsification procedures, demonstrating proficiency in cataract extraction techniques using ultrasound energy to emulsify and aspirate lens material.
