Enforce the prompt departure of trucks from Maharani to KBL and provide guidance to the KBL operations team regarding the suitability of trucks and trailers.
Enforce adherence to safety protocols within the yard, including decoupling and coupling procedures, executing reverse maneuvers, and operating vehicles to transport equipment to the car wash.
Maharani yard management responsibilities encompass organizing and overseeing the designated parking area for loaded and empty trailers, as well as handling VOR (Vehicle Off Road) situations.
Ensure a consistent and visible presence on the floor to remain engaged with staff and address operational concerns promptly.
Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections to verify that all trucks departing for county destinations possess valid county permits.
To facilitate timely repairs, trucks with recorded mechanical failures must be redirected to designated workshops for necessary intervention.
Ensure strict adherence to pedestrian safety regulations throughout the yard.
Adhere diligently to established work instructions and standard operating procedures to maintain operational consistency and compliance.
Ensure strict adherence to one-way traffic regulations within the Maharani yard.
You will be responsible for signing and authorizing the fuel Daily Inspection Vehicle (DIV) forms for both company-owned fleet vehicles and subcontractor trucks.
Responsible for overseeing and directing the movement of trucks, forklifts, delivery vans, motorcycles, pedestrians, and contractors within the yard to ensure safe and efficient traffic flow.
Supervise fleet fueling operations to ensure adherence to approved delivery inspection values (DIV), verifying that the correct fuel quantity is dispensed. Confirm that all fueling points are properly sealed and padlocked following the completion of each fueling procedure.
Maintain a clean and orderly yard, ensure clear boundaries and visible signage, and keep access routes free of obstructions.
Oversee the operational condition of yard equipment, including wheel chocks, traffic cones, barriers, and dock locks, ensuring all items are functional and properly maintained.
Promptly notify supervisors of any damage observed to infrastructure, vehicles, trailers, or cargo.
Ensure the protection of DHL and customer assets at all times.
Conduct a comprehensive assessment of health and safety risks affecting drivers—including those within our fleet and subcontracted partners—and implement proactive measures to mitigate or eliminate these risks within the yard environment.
Investigate workplace incidents promptly and document findings thoroughly, ensuring all noncompliance issues—such as unsafe behavior, speeding, aggressive driving, distracted operation (including phone use and fatigue), improper reversing, vehicle hazards, or failure to follow marshal instructions—are addressed. Verify strict adherence to safety regulations and established procedures throughout the process.
Assess vehicles for potential hazards such as inadequate load securing, fluid leaks, mechanical deficiencies, or instances of overloading or instability, and take prompt, decisive action to mitigate risks before incidents arise.
Reversing and Maneuvering Control (Critical Function): Serve as a qualified bandsman during truck reversing, docking procedures, and operations in confined maneuvering areas, employing standardized hand signals and two-way radios. Cease all activities without delay if visibility is compromised, unauthorized individuals enter hazardous zones, or safety conditions deteriorate.
Conduct incident investigations, safety observations, and toolbox talks when requested to ensure comprehensive safety oversight and compliance.
Assess the yard layout, signage, and traffic flow design operations, providing recommendations for enhancements to optimize efficiency and safety.
Continuously monitor the yard environment to proactively detect potential hazards, such as blind spots, congestion, weather-related risks, and poor visibility conditions, before they escalate.
All site incidents must be reported in accordance with the established risk management and incident reporting Standard Operating Procedures.
Verify that all trucks departing DHL facilities to their designated destinations possess valid county permits, current insurance coverage, and a valid NASA inspection certificate.
Conduct thorough inspections on all trucks to verify they are maintained in optimal physical condition, thereby ensuring their operational readiness.
Implement and maintain robust security protocols to safeguard operations, personnel, DSC assets, and the integrity of the customer’s product throughout the designated operational area or section.
Ensure the successful implementation of the DSC 6 Steps security framework throughout the entire operation or a specific section of it.
Maintain precise documentation of all trailer activities, including arrivals, departures, and movements, within the Yard Management System (YES) or through manual logs.
Ensure compliance with DHL and customer specifications by inspecting seal integrity, verifying truck condition, and confirming the accuracy of documentation.
Verify adherence to DHL’s operational protocols, audit benchmarks, and customer contractual commitments.
Facilitate internal and external audits by ensuring yard records are meticulously maintained, accurate, and fully traceable.
Verify that all delivery documentation corresponds accurately with the respective truck details entered in the yard management system.
Verify that decoupled trailer information is accurately recorded and promptly distributed to the appropriate team.
Verify that delivery documentation aligns with the status of parked or decoupled trailers.
Ensure the accurate recording and submission of all delivery documents to security personnel at the gate.

About you
Holders of a Diploma in Logistics or any equivalent qualification in a relevant field are invited to apply.
