We are a highly respected private security firm actively seeking a qualified candidate to fill the Operations Officer role in Nairobi.

The primary objective of this position is to fulfill specific organizational needs by executing critical tasks and responsibilities that support our strategic goals and objectives. This role requires a candidate with proven expertise in the relevant field, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. Support the Area Manager in achieving outstanding service excellence by overseeing daily operational activities, leading Area Supervisors, upholding compliance with established standards, and nurturing key client relationships. This position guarantees smooth field execution, operational preparedness, and ongoing performance enhancements across all assigned locations.

Oversee a diverse portfolio of critical tasks encompassing primary duties and strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and operational excellence. Execute core functions with precision, including project management, team leadership, and cross-departmental collaboration, while maintaining strict adherence to deadlines and performance benchmarks. Serve as a pivotal point of contact for stakeholders, facilitating transparent communication and fostering productive relationships to drive collective success and mitigate potential challenges.

Oversee Area Supervisors to verify adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company policies, ensuring consistent operational alignment.

Oversee routine operational tasks at designated sites to verify operational preparedness, accurate resource deployment, and adherence to quality service benchmarks.

Monitor and compile key performance indicators, including attendance records, incident trends, client feedback, and deployment accuracy, for comprehensive reporting purposes.

Perform regular and impromptu site inspections to confirm service excellence and compliance with client specifications.

Efficiently manage and allocate resources—such as personnel, machinery, and supplies—to optimize productivity and minimize waste.

Consistently engage with clients to resolve operational challenges and, when appropriate, elevate unresolved issues to the Area Manager for further action.

Provide assistance to the Area Manager during client engagements, service evaluations, and the execution of enhancement initiatives.

Handle all client complaints and inquiries with promptness and professionalism at all times.

Oversee, mentor, and direct Area Supervisors to foster improved performance and accountability.

Collaborate with HR and the Area Manager to facilitate the recruitment, onboarding, and deployment of guards.

Manage leave schedules, duty rotations, and staff replacements to guarantee comprehensive site coverage at all times.

Engage in disciplinary procedures by performing initial inquiries and proposing appropriate corrective measures.

Ensure complete adherence to all operational, safety, and regulatory standards across every site.

Provide support in performing operational risk evaluations and deploying appropriate mitigation measures.

Oversee the management of incident response protocols, conduct thorough follow-ups, prepare detailed reports, and ensure the systematic closure of corrective actions.

Compile and submit daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports to the Area Manager as required.

Responsibilities include meticulously documenting deployments, incidents, client feedback, and supervisor performance to ensure precise record-keeping.

Provide support to the Area Manager in conducting operational audits and completing assigned special projects.

Analyze service delivery to pinpoint deficiencies, then propose strategic enhancements that elevate client satisfaction while optimizing operational performance.

Assist in business development initiatives by supplying comprehensive site-specific data, operational perspectives, and client insights to identify potential avenues for expansion.

Contribute to organization-wide projects designed to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.

Seeking a candidate with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, complemented by at least three years of professional experience in software development. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++ is essential, along with familiarity with software development methodologies and tools. Strong problem-solving skills, effective communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset are required to thrive in a dynamic team environment. The ideal applicant will demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and innovation in technology.

A diploma or degree in Security Management, Business Management, or a relevant discipline is required.

Must possess a valid Category A riding license.

Proficient in private security operations and well-versed in applicable regulatory requirements.

Demonstrated expertise in utilizing MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is essential.

Possesses exceptional communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution abilities to facilitate effective interactions and resolve disputes efficiently.
