The Program Officer will advance the educational and implementation research objectives of the PEP MTCs program while spearheading institutional-level advocacy initiatives. This position is dedicated to enhancing research methodologies, fostering the adoption of cutting-edge teaching practices, and securing greater funding for cardiometabolic disease (CMD) education and research across CHALK Medical Training Colleges.
Oversee a comprehensive range of critical tasks and strategic initiatives essential to the role’s success, including the execution of primary objectives and day-to-day operational duties. Develop and implement innovative solutions to address challenges, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices. Experience in a similar capacity, whether in nonprofit, government, or corporate settings, is highly preferred.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification preferred. Minimum of five years of progressive accounting experience, including at least three years in a supervisory or managerial role. Proficiency in GAAP standards and regulatory compliance. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
A master’s degree in public health, education, research methods, or a closely related discipline is required.
A relevant bachelor’s degree or diploma in a field such as nursing, Clinical Medicine, or Laboratory Science is required.
Minimum of three years’ experience in education research, advocacy, or strengthening health systems.
Proficient in addressing the complexities of communicable diseases (CMDs), non-communicable diseases (NCDs), and workforce development challenges within Kenya.
Proven track record in institutional advocacy and collaborative engagement with senior academic leadership.
