Job Summary
The Doctor Liaison Officer will proactively cultivate strong relationships with physicians currently affiliated with 3rd Park Hospital to ensure they receive the necessary support for enhancing their practice and delivering exceptional care. They will identify avenues for improving physician retention, addressing communication barriers, and effectively promoting the hospital’s capabilities and innovative services to the medical community.
Oversee a comprehensive range of critical duties encompassing strategic planning, operational execution, and team leadership to drive organizational success. Ensure adherence to industry regulations and best practices while fostering innovation and continuous improvement. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align business objectives with deliverables, optimizing efficiency and performance. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess progress, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions as needed. Develop and maintain robust policies, procedures, and documentation to support compliance and operational excellence. Serve as a primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing clear communication and resolving escalated issues promptly.
Develop and sustain robust partnerships with admitting and referring physicians to ensure seamless patient care and referrals.
Facilitate seamless patient referrals and enhance interdisciplinary collaboration between medical specialties to ensure comprehensive care coordination.
Address communication disparities and enhance physician satisfaction and retention rates.
Serve as the primary liaison for physicians, addressing their support needs and concerns promptly and effectively.
Compile and disseminate comprehensive information regarding emerging hospital technologies, advanced equipment, and expanded service offerings to relevant stakeholders.
Compile input from physicians, identify any issues of concern, and promptly relay such matters to senior leadership for resolution.
Collaborate effectively with insurance and finance departments to facilitate seamless pre-authorizations and streamline payment processes.
Ensure precise documentation of physician engagements within the CRM system.
Attend networking events, seminars, and meetings on behalf of the hospital to enhance professional relationships and represent organizational interests.
Requirements:
A bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or a closely related field is required for this position.
With a minimum of four to five years of relevant experience in healthcare sales, physician relations, or comparable liaison positions, the ideal candidate will possess a strong background in fostering professional relationships and driving business growth within the healthcare sector.
Exceptional interpersonal, collaborative, and interpersonal competency are required, along with the proven ability to cultivate and sustain a network of strategic connections and manage stakeholder relationships effectively.
Proven expertise in utilizing Microsoft Office Suite and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms is required.
A solid grasp of medical terminology and hospital operational frameworks is essential.
Track progress and measure success through clearly defined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) aligned with organizational goals, ensuring data-driven decision-making and continuous performance improvement. Regularly evaluate these metrics to assess efficiency, identify trends, and drive strategic adjustments as needed.
