Oversee and execute a range of critical duties, including the management of daily operations to ensure seamless workflow efficiency and adherence to organizational standards. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, internal policies, and best practices to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and operational integrity.

To safeguard the health and safety of students and staff, this role involves delivering first aid, addressing minor illnesses and injuries, handling medical emergencies, administering prescribed medications, maintaining confidential medical records, and assisting students with special health requirements.

To advance preventive health education, reinforce infection control measures, foster hygiene awareness, advocate for proper nutrition, support mental well-being, and ensure timely referrals to external healthcare providers when necessary.

Collaborate effectively with students, parents, educators, school leaders, healthcare professionals, and public health authorities to maintain a secure, healthy, and nurturing educational setting.

To help oversee health risk assessments, manage medical supply inventories, facilitate school health protocols, and ensure the implementation of emergency response and safeguarding measures.

Leads health promotion and screening initiatives within the school environment while ensuring familiarity with referral protocols to healthcare professionals.

Educate both students and staff about essential healthy habits, including proper nutrition and hygiene practices, among other key areas.

The requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, supplemented by a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in software development, is required. Proficiency in multiple programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++ is essential, along with expertise in database management and system architecture. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment are also necessary.

A recognized university or School of Nursing must confer a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.

Must hold a valid license from the Nursing Council of Kenya.

Minimum of two to three years of hands-on nursing practice is required, with a preference for experience in school health, pediatric care, adolescent medicine, or community health environments.

Requires possession of a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Professionalism and dedication to upholding ethical standards are essential qualities for this role.

Possess a comprehensive understanding of typical child development milestones and the associated health considerations at each stage.

Proficient in administering first aid and addressing minor childhood ailments with expertise.
