This role offers the chance to collaborate closely with entrepreneur clients within Komodo communities. Serving on the Business Growth Services team, you will play a key part in empowering Kenyan micro and small entrepreneurs to foster sustainable community development.
The roles entail a comprehensive range of duties, including but not limited to:
Proactively engaging with clients constitutes 10% of responsibilities, ensuring seamless onboarding and sustained support throughout engagements.
Engage with prospective entrepreneurs and evaluate their qualifications to determine eligibility for inclusion in the program.
Convey program information clearly to community participants and ensure receipt of all communications.
As Inkomoko’s Ambassador, you will engage with existing community structures to represent and promote the organization’s mission and initiatives.
Provide guidance on participant criteria that align with both the community’s culture and current business landscape.
Communicate to Inkomoko leadership about any challenge faced by participants during program implementation
Responsibilities for training, which comprises 40% of the role, include developing and implementing comprehensive training programs tailored to enhance employee skills and performance. These initiatives aim to ensure all team members are proficient in their respective roles and aligned with company standards. Additionally, the position involves evaluating the effectiveness of training sessions and updating materials as necessary to reflect evolving industry practices and organizational needs. Strong interpersonal skills are essential to engage participants effectively and foster a collaborative learning environment.
The program coordinator must guarantee that every entrepreneur enrolled in the initiative receives timely updates and participates in all scheduled training sessions.
Responsibilities include coordinating all training logistics, such as preparing and distributing training materials, arranging the training facility, tracking attendance records, and ensuring sessions commence punctually.
Deliver training sessions using Komodo’s training materials in Somali, Kiswahili, and English.
Evaluate the current training modules and provide strategic recommendations to the Senior Trainer for any required enhancements or modifications.
Accomplish all required training programs punctually and in adherence to the allocated budgetary constraints.
Business consulting and client relationship management constitute 40% of the role’s responsibilities, requiring a strategic approach to advising clients, analyzing business challenges, and fostering long-term partnerships. This function involves assessing client needs, developing tailored solutions, and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives while maintaining high levels of satisfaction and retention. Strong interpersonal skills, negotiation abilities, and a results-driven mindset are essential to succeed in this capacity.
The onboarding procedure for entrepreneurs encompasses baseline monitoring and evaluation, along with systematic tracking within our digital platform.
Monthly site visits are conducted to evaluate business requirements and identify opportunities.
Prepare comprehensive cash flow statements and detailed profitability analyses in collaboration with clients to provide strategic financial insights.
Deliver tailored, data-driven guidance designed to empower clients in achieving their goals or reorienting them towards enhanced sustainability and profitability.
Site visits are conducted regularly to deliver immediate guidance, enabling the resolution of evolving business challenges and fostering sustained growth.
We facilitate introductions for clients to additional Komodo offerings, such as professional development programs and financial resource opportunities.
Maintain clients’ business information with precision and ensure it remains current at all times.
Assist investment colleagues by supporting investment applications, conducting due diligence, and managing clients’ credit payments.
Community activities coordination and administrative support account for approximately 10% of the role’s responsibilities.
Foster strong partnerships and maintain effective collaboration with all stakeholders and local authorities in Lower to ensure alignment and mutual support.
Prepare and submit weekly and monthly reports punctually.
Represent Inkomoko’s interests and initiatives in the Lower region with professionalism and dedication.
Collaborate effectively with the Senior Business Development Advisor and Business Development Manager to coordinate and facilitate community initiatives.
Provide support to Inkomoko staff in managing all internal and external communications conducted within the country.
Ensure that community activities are conducted punctually and efficiently.
Support the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) team by conducting surveys and gathering essential data in Lower.
Deliver comprehensive administrative assistance to meet operational demands as required.
Execute all additional responsibilities as directed by management.
