Responsibilities include overseeing key operations, managing projects from inception to completion, and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards. Perform thorough evaluations of ocular health and visual function through detailed eye examinations and vision assessments.

Examine visual impairments and ocular conditions to identify underlying issues.

Prescribe and provide corrective lenses, including glasses and contact lenses, to meet patients’ visual needs with precision and care.

Identify and address ocular diseases, ensuring appropriate referral for complex cases as necessary.

Educate patients on maintaining optimal eye health and implementing preventive care strategies.

Ensure meticulous maintenance of patient records and documentation with precision and thoroughness.

Work collaboratively with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals to maintain the highest standards of patient care delivery.

Engage in outreach programs and eye screening initiatives as needed to support community health efforts.

Applicants must meet the following essential criteria to be considered for the position:

A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is mandatory, complemented by a minimum of three years of professional experience in a comparable role. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools is required, alongside strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for collaborative work environments. Candidates should demonstrate a proven track record of delivering results under tight deadlines while maintaining high standards of accuracy. Familiarity with current industry trends and compliance regulations is also necessary. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is critical for success in this role.

A recognized institution must confer a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Optometry, or alternatively, a Bachelor of Optometry and Vision Science.

Holds a current, valid practicing license issued by the applicable regulatory authority in Kenya.

Seeking candidates with a minimum of three years of hands-on clinical practice in a high-volume healthcare environment.

Demonstrates exceptional ability to engage effectively with others through clear and persuasive communication, fostering productive professional interactions and collaborations.

Maintaining the utmost standards of professionalism, integrity, and a patient-centered focus is essential.
