Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience is essential. Professional certification or license may also be required depending on the role. A minimum of three years of relevant work experience is necessary. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are critical. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities are needed. Proficiency in industry-specific software or tools is often required. Familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance requirements is important. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment is expected.

The ideal candidate for this Interpreter role must demonstrate strong bilingual proficiency in both written and spoken communication, with fluency in the required languages. They should have prior experience in professional interpretation, preferably within a legal, medical, or corporate setting, and hold relevant certifications or accreditation if applicable. Excellent listening skills, cultural awareness, and the ability to convey messages accurately and impartially are essential. Additionally, the candidate must maintain strict confidentiality, adhere to ethical standards, and exhibit strong interpersonal skills to facilitate effective communication between parties.

Proven fluency in Kenyan Sign Language (KSL) is required.

You should have experience in delivering interpretation services during conferences, workshops, trainings, or public events.

Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities are essential for this role.

Proven capability to collaborate productively with varied teams comprising youth and key stakeholders.
