We seek a highly skilled Red Seal Plumber to join a prominent high-rise accommodation project in Nairobi, Kenya. This position encompasses the complete spectrum of plumbing system responsibilities, including installation, rigorous testing, commissioning, and stringent quality assurance oversight across domestic water, drainage, firefighting, irrigation, swimming pool, and specialized plumbing systems.
Oversee a wide range of critical functions, including strategic planning, operational execution, and performance monitoring to ensure organizational goals are met. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and systems that enhance efficiency, productivity, and compliance with industry standards. Lead cross-functional teams to drive project completion, foster innovation, and achieve measurable outcomes. Collaborate with senior leadership to align business strategies with market demands and emerging opportunities. Professionally interpret architectural, structural, and MEP (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) drawings to extract critical design details and specifications. Analyze blueprints and schematics to ensure technical accuracy and compliance with project requirements. Collaborate with design teams to clarify discrepancies and validate information for seamless execution. Maintain meticulous attention to detail to support accurate construction documentation and decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
Install hot and cold water supply systems, along with drainage, soil, waste, and vent systems, ensuring proper installation and functionality according to relevant plumbing codes and standards.
Install sanitary fixtures, pumps, tanks, filtration systems, and booster systems in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.
Design and implement advanced underground drainage systems and specialized plumbing solutions to meet project specifications and regulatory standards.
Install, assemble, and configure a variety of water management systems, including irrigation networks, wet riser assemblies, sprinkler infrastructures, jacuzzi units, and pool piping networks.
Perform pressure assessments, drainage evaluations, and system start-up procedures to verify operational integrity and functionality.
Ensure adherence to British Standards, local regulatory requirements, and OSHA safety regulations.
Requirements
Certified as a Red Seal Plumber, you will possess a nationally recognized credential demonstrating your expertise in plumbing systems, installation, and maintenance. The role requires proficiency in interpreting blueprints, troubleshooting complex issues, and adhering to local building codes and safety regulations. Responsibilities include installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing fixtures, pipes, and systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings, ensuring optimal functionality and compliance with industry standards. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure are essential. Additionally, you will collaborate with architects, contractors, and clients to deliver high-quality plumbing solutions while prioritizing customer satisfaction and safety.
With a minimum of five years of hands-on involvement in high-rise or commercial construction projects, this role demands proven expertise and a deep understanding of the sector’s complexities.
Proficiency in MEP coordination and plumbing system design is essential, encompassing a thorough understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing integration within construction projects.
Preferred candidates will have experience in firefighting operations and familiarity with specialized water systems.
International experience in project management is highly beneficial for this role.
