Role Description
This position is a full-time, on-site opportunity based in Nairobi County, Kenya, designated for a Licensed Aircraft Engineer. The successful candidate will conduct scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance while strictly adhering to aviation regulations and safety protocols. Routine duties encompass conducting thorough inspections, diagnosing technical issues, executing repairs, servicing aircraft systems, and meticulously documenting all maintenance activities. Additionally, the role involves close collaboration with the technical team to uphold operational efficiency and ensure fleet airworthiness.
The essential qualifications for this role include a minimum of three years of relevant experience, proficiency in industry-specific software, and strong analytical skills. Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in a related field or possess equivalent professional experience. Holds an active A and C license as a mandatory qualification.
With a minimum of five years of hands-on experience in aircraft maintenance, candidates should possess a solid background in the field.
Type-rated pilots with proficiency on the Dash 8 and/or Cessna 208 aircraft are required for this position.
A minimum of three years of leadership experience within an aviation engineering setting is required.
Proficiency in base or line management roles constitutes an additional asset.
Holds an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering or a comparable technical discipline.
