Job Summary

The Legal Operations Specialist (National TDB Volunteer) collaborates closely with the Legal Operations Manager to enhance technology, streamline operations, refine processes, facilitate transaction implementation, and advance various initiatives within the Legal Department. This position delivers consistent administrative and technical support to the Legal Operations Team, contributing to the optimization of TDB Group’s operations, safeguarding its interests, and minimizing legal risks.

Oversee and execute a comprehensive range of duties and responsibilities, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Provide strategic leadership to guide teams through key initiatives while maintaining high standards of performance and accountability. Collaborate cross-functionally to streamline processes, optimize efficiency, and foster innovation. Monitor progress, analyze outcomes, and implement corrective measures as needed to achieve set targets. Communicate clearly and consistently with stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment on expectations.

The Legal Operations Specialist is responsible for a broad range of duties, which encompass, but are not limited to, the following key responsibilities:

Assist in enhancing the Legal Department’s processes, systems, and technology through ongoing improvements, which includes contributing to the creation and execution of a strategic pipeline of projects aimed at boosting efficiency and effectiveness.

Support the Legal Operations Department by compiling, analyzing, and reporting data on department operations proactively, generating metrics to evaluate efficient resource utilization and enhance productivity. Ensure that all efforts align with the Department’s strategic objectives.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders across the organization to diagnose challenges and develop actionable solutions, partnering with consulting teams to execute the agreed-upon strategies.

Support the Legal Operations Department by delivering project management assistance to the Legal Department, encompassing the creation of project plans, ongoing status monitoring, and task oversight.

Oversee the complete transaction lifecycle from inception to completion for multi-stakeholder lending activities within the Group, ensuring seamless project management throughout.

Supporting the monthly review and reconciliation of the Legal Department’s budget, while delivering updated quarterly and annual forecasts as required.

The role involves assisting with a range of technical and administrative duties to support the Department’s case management and closure processes, including drafting and reviewing documents, handling incoming and outgoing communications, preparing and distributing correspondence, managing document routing, and processing directives and invoices from external legal counsel.

Ensuring that both physical and digital legal documents are organized and maintained in full compliance with established Bank policies.

The role involves coordinating meeting schedules, organizing meeting materials, and managing follow-up actions to facilitate the Department’s daily operations.

Assisting with a range of operation-focused projects and initiatives within the department.

Seeking a candidate with a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, combined with a minimum of three years of experience in a similar role. The ideal applicant will possess strong analytical skills, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in industry-specific software. Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential, as the position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Additionally, the role demands a detail-oriented mindset, the capacity to manage multiple priorities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of project management methodologies and prior leadership experience are highly advantageous.

A recognized institution must award a bachelor’s degree in business management, business administration, or business organization as the minimum qualification. Holding a master’s degree in a related discipline is considered an additional benefit.

A minimum of five years of hands-on experience in a related field is required.

International exposure within a commercial, financial, or professional services environment—such as an international law firm, multinational corporation, banking institution, insurance company, advisory firm, development finance institution, Ministry of Finance, National Treasury, or Sovereign Wealth Fund—constitutes a valuable asset.

Accomplished professional with a demonstrated history of successfully overseeing and delivering projects from inception to completion.

A professional certification in project management would be beneficial.

Proven analytical and critical thinking capabilities, complemented by the capacity to adapt and innovate in pursuit of effective solutions.

Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills are essential, alongside excellent organizational and planning abilities, enabling effective work in multicultural settings. The capacity to manage dynamic priorities while maintaining composure under pressure ensures timely delivery against strict deadlines.
