Job Summary
Our esteemed hospitality client is currently recruiting a diligent and committed Kitchen Steward to enhance back-of-house operations. The successful candidate will uphold stringent cleanliness and sanitation protocols throughout the kitchen, in addition to washing dishes and kitchen equipment, managing waste disposal, and ensuring strict adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations within a dynamic five-star hospitality setting. Responsibilities include thoroughly washing, sanitizing, and maintaining dishes, utensils, glassware, pots, pans, and all kitchen equipment in a timely and efficient manner.
Ensure kitchen floors, walls, workstations, storage areas, and food preparation areas are consistently kept clean and sanitized.
Maintain meticulous oversight of kitchen equipment and supplies, ensuring they are handled with care, stored appropriately, and organized efficiently.
Provide essential assistance to chefs and kitchen personnel with fundamental food preparation tasks and operational duties as needed.
Dispose of waste materials in strict adherence to established hygiene and safety protocols to ensure a secure and compliant environment.
Maintain the cleanliness and proper upkeep of garbage collection areas consistently.
Responsible for replenishing cleaning materials and promptly informing supervisors when inventory levels are insufficient.
Operate dishwashing machines and other cleaning equipment with precision and adherence to safety protocols to ensure optimal efficiency.
Adhere rigorously to all established food safety protocols, health regulations, sanitation guidelines, and workplace safety standards at all times.
Support the upkeep of pristine conditions during conferences, banquets, and other large-scale gatherings.
Maintain impeccable cleanliness and presentation standards in accordance with five-star hospitality protocols.
Handle all cleaning requests submitted by kitchen and food & beverage teams in a timely manner.
Oversee the implementation of thorough cleaning schedules and consistent upkeep of kitchen facilities.

A hospitality diploma or certificate is required for this position.
Certificate in Food Production, Hospitality, or related field is an added advantage.
A minimum of one to two years of hands-on experience as a Kitchen Steward in a hotel, restaurant, or hospitality setting is required.
Preferred candidates will have relevant experience gained within a high-volume or luxury hospitality environment.
Demonstrates proficiency in food safety protocols, sanitation guidelines, and hygiene best practices to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Demonstrated competence in the safe handling and application of cleaning chemicals and equipment is essential.
Physically fit and able to stand for long hours.
