The Assistant Splicing Technician will support the splicing team in executing high-precision cable splicing operations, ensuring optimal signal integrity and system performance. Key responsibilities include preparing cable ends, operating splicing equipment, and performing quality checks to verify connections meet industry standards. Additionally, the role involves assisting with troubleshooting and maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and enhance operational efficiency. Ground support is provided to technicians engaged in fiber splicing operations, facilitating the construction of properly sealed splice cases. This involves performing essential tasks such as grounding, bonding, isolation, slack storage, and sealing, among other related duties.
Provide support to the splicing technician in executing regular maintenance tasks.
Maintain accurate documentation of the network infrastructure, ensuring all records are current and properly organized.
Collaborate with various technical departments to deliver specialized assistance and address network-related challenges.
Ensure site safety by promptly removing hazards or notifying relevant personnel of any potential risks before beginning work tasks.

The Assistant Splicing Technician role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, along with prior experience in fiber optic splicing or a closely related field.
