Providing strategic leadership and oversight in the following core areas of responsibility:

Financial accounting and treasury functions involve managing the organization’s financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards. This role requires proficiency in accounting principles, financial reporting, and the use of accounting software. Responsibilities include preparing and analyzing financial statements, overseeing cash flow management, and optimizing liquidity. Additionally, the position demands strong analytical skills to interpret financial data, identify trends, and support strategic decision-making. Candidates should possess a degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, along with relevant certifications such as CPA or CFA. Previous experience in financial accounting and treasury operations is essential for success in this role.

The incumbent assists finance team personnel with invoice reconciliation tasks on the ProS ave platform, meticulously examining documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Compiles and submits Mesa payment vouchers for authorization and processes payments accordingly.

Provides assistance to the finance team by managing the filing and archiving of documents, ensuring the protection of financial records and facilitating quick and efficient retrieval when needed.

Compiles the General Ledger and Cash Offline Spreadsheets (PLACES) while maintaining precision in charge codes.

Assists in performing monthly bank reconciliation procedures to ensure accuracy and alignment of financial records.

Processes monthly payroll statutory deductions and ensures timely submission to regulatory authorities.

Compiles and organizes the General Ledger and Cash Offline Spreadsheet to ensure accurate posting within the financial system.

Finance documents must be backed up promptly in the Document Management System (DMS) to ensure data integrity and accessibility.

Conducts weekly reconciliations of individual accounts and balance sheet accounts, compiling detailed schedules for review by the Finance Officer.

Compiles and processes adjustments as well as reallocation entries for journalization.

Collaborates effectively to meet all audit-related requirements and obligations.

Ensures strict adherence to SCI (Sensitive Compartmented Information) rules and regulations in the performance of daily responsibilities.

Performs additional tasks as designated by the supervisor, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and operational needs.

Others

Manual payment entries are processed in Pro-Save, followed by securing necessary approval to finalize payments.

Assist in maintaining accurate and organized financial records by ensuring proper archiving of all supporting documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

An undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance, or an equivalent qualification, or a professional accounting designation is required.

With a minimum of one year’s experience in accounting, preferably within a not-for-profit setting, you will bring valuable expertise to our team.

Proficient in utilizing computer systems with a strong command of Microsoft Excel and additional Microsoft applications.

Proficiency in using computerized accounting systems is essential for this role.
