Oversee and execute a comprehensive range of duties to ensure operational excellence, including strategic planning, team leadership, and performance optimization. Collaborate with cross-functional departments to align initiatives with organizational goals, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Monitor key performance indicators to assess progress, identify areas for enhancement, and implement corrective measures as needed. Lead project management efforts, from inception to completion, while adhering to budgetary and timeline constraints. Develop and maintain robust reporting mechanisms to provide stakeholders with transparent insights into progress and outcomes.

Responsible for setting up and managing application environments, spanning development, quality assurance, and production stages to ensure seamless operations.

Collaborate effectively with system architects, analysts, and developers to ensure appropriate access and resource allocation for application server environments.

Oversee the provisioning of environments, implement configuration management strategies, and establish infrastructure-as-code methodologies.

Deploy fully tested software packages across all environments through standardized deployment pipelines, ensuring consistency and adherence to established procedures.

Collaborate with development teams and stakeholders to establish and align deployment schedules.

Oversee and evaluate system performance, availability, and operational health across all application environments to ensure optimal functionality.

Diligently detect and address performance limitations and system-related challenges to ensure optimal functionality.

Investigate and rectify technical challenges arising within server environments, applications, and infrastructure systems.

Document system configurations, procedures, and technical specifications while ensuring all environment architecture and dependency records remain current and accurate.

Ensure adherence to UN security policies and IT governance standards to maintain organizational integrity and regulatory compliance.

Stays informed about advancements in the field, conducts comparative evaluations, and recommends potential new acquisitions.

What we are looking for:

With at least four years of practical experience in managing and administering Microsoft Windows Server environments—including server administration, PowerShell scripting, and Windows Server configuration—you are well-prepared for this role.

A minimum of four years of hands-on experience in DevOps methodologies and tool sets is required, with proficiency in Azure DevOps (including boards, repos, pipelines, and artifacts).

Experienced in setting up and managing various application environments with a track record of success.

Experience in managing Azure cloud infrastructure is preferred, particularly with Platform as a Service (PaaS) solutions.

Education: Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field, along with formal certification or license where applicable. Relevant coursework or specialized training in the discipline is strongly preferred, ensuring alignment with the role’s technical and theoretical demands.

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline is a prerequisite for this position. While a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a comparable field is preferred, it is not mandatory.
