KHF is in search of a proactive and meticulous Assistant IT and Communications Officer to oversee the Federation’s IT infrastructure while spearheading communications, digital strategy, and member engagement efforts. This position requires an individual equally adept at resolving technical network challenges and crafting engaging member newsletters.

Oversee and execute a range of critical duties integral to the role, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and operational standards. Deliver consistent performance in executing assigned tasks, maintaining high levels of accuracy and efficiency while adhering to established protocols. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, foster innovation, and drive solutions that enhance productivity and meet strategic goals. Information Technology professionals design, implement, maintain, and secure an organization’s technological infrastructure to ensure seamless operations and optimal performance. They oversee hardware, software, networks, and systems, troubleshoot technical issues, and provide solutions to enhance productivity and efficiency. Responsibilities include managing databases, configuring systems, monitoring security protocols, and staying current with emerging technologies. Strong problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and proficiency in relevant tools and platforms are essential. Additionally, they collaborate with cross-functional teams to align IT strategies with business objectives while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and best practices.

Responsible for the administration and upkeep of KHF’s IT infrastructure, which encompasses networks, servers, hardware, and software systems.

Deliver primary technical support to staff members, diagnose hardware and software problems, and coordinate with vendors to secure escalated assistance when needed.

Responsibilities include managing data security measures, ensuring regular backups, and enforcing adherence to IT policies, with a focus on integrating cybersecurity best practices.

Oversee the administration of licenses, subscriptions, and the acquisition of IT equipment and services. Provide ongoing maintenance and technical assistance for KHF’s website, intranet, and collaboration tools within the Microsoft 365 environment.

Provide technical assistance for the planning, execution, and oversight of both virtual and in-person events and webinars.

Develops and implements strategic communications plans to enhance brand visibility and engagement across multiple channels. Crafts compelling messaging tailored to diverse audiences, ensuring consistency in tone and voice. Manages media relations, including press releases, interviews, and crisis communications, to maintain a positive public image. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to align messaging with organizational goals and initiatives. Monitors media coverage and public sentiment, providing insights to refine communication strategies. Creates and oversees content for digital platforms, including websites, social media, and newsletters, to drive audience interaction. Analyzes performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of communication efforts and recommends improvements. Serves as the primary spokesperson for the organization when necessary, representing its values and objectives in all external communications.

Develop and execute KHF’s digital communications strategy across the website, email, and social media platforms.

Develop and distribute member communications, such as newsletters, advisories, and event invitations.

Develop engaging multimedia content, graphics, and infographics that reflect and reinforce KHF’s brand identity.

Oversee the expansion and supervision of KHF’s social media channels while tracking engagement metrics. Assist in the preparation of policy documents, reports, presentations, and publications tailored for both internal stakeholders and external audiences.

Ensure consistency with KHF’s brand standards across all communication materials and platforms that engage members.

Seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fulfill this critical role, candidates must possess a minimum of five years of relevant experience in the field. A bachelor’s degree in a related discipline is required, along with proficiency in industry-standard software and tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are essential, along with excellent communication and teamwork skills. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proven track record of delivering results under tight deadlines while maintaining a high standard of quality. Additionally, familiarity with regulatory compliance and best practices is highly desirable.

A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Communications, or a comparable discipline is required.

Seeking candidates with at least three years of hands-on experience in IT support, communications, or a dual IT/communications capacity, ideally within a membership organization, NGO, or professional association.

Proven expertise in overseeing website management through platforms like WordPress or comparable content management systems, alongside hands-on experience with email marketing tools such as Mailchimp, Constant Contact, or similar solutions.

Proficiency in graphic design software such as Canva, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Express, or other comparable platforms is required.

Proficiency in networking principles, cloud services, and foundational IT security concepts is essential.

Exceptional writing and editing proficiency with a talent for crafting clear, professional content tailored to varied audiences.

Proficiency in utilizing social media management tools and analytics platforms is required.
