Oversee a diverse array of operational duties, ensuring seamless workflow execution and adherence to established protocols. Serve as a liaison between senior leadership and operational teams to facilitate clear communication and strategic alignment.

Configure and oversee application environments across development, quality assurance, and production stages to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

Collaborate closely with system architects, system analysts, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure the provision of appropriate access and resources for application server environments.

Oversee the provisioning of environments, implement configuration management strategies, and establish infrastructure-as-code methodologies.

Deploy fully integrated software packages across all environments through established deployment pipelines in accordance with predefined procedures.

Facilitate the alignment of deployment timelines by collaborating closely with development teams and key stakeholders.

Oversee the operational status, reliability, and efficiency of systems across every application environment.

Systematically detect and address performance bottlenecks and system anomalies to ensure optimal functionality.

Investigate and address technical challenges arising in server environments, applications, and infrastructure, ensuring efficient resolution and minimal disruption to operations.

Maintain comprehensive records of system configurations, operational procedures, and technical specifications, ensuring all documentation reflects current environment architecture and dependency relationships.

Verify adherence to United Nations security protocols and IT governance frameworks.

Stays informed about industry advancements, conducts comparative research, and recommends potential new acquisitions.

What we are looking for:

A minimum of four years of practical experience managing and interacting with Microsoft Windows Server environments is required, including expertise in server administration, PowerShell scripting, and Windows Server configuration.

Professional candidates should possess at least four years of hands-on experience implementing DevOps methodologies and leveraging key tools, with a strong proficiency in Azure DevOps—including its boards, repositories, pipelines, and artifacts components.

Skilled in establishing and managing various application environments with a track record of success.

Desired candidates should have prior exposure to Azure cloud management, particularly in Platform as a Service (PaaS) environments.

Education: Applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field from an accredited institution. Advanced degrees or specialized certifications are advantageous, particularly in disciplines such as engineering, computer science, business administration, or related areas. A strong academic foundation in quantitative and analytical subjects is essential, along with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline is mandatory. While a master’s degree in these fields is advantageous, it is not obligatory.
