Seeking a motivated professional to fill a key position, this role calls for an individual capable of driving impactful contributions through strategic planning and execution. Reporting to the Senior ICT Officer, the ICT Intern will acquire practical experience in Information Technology within a fast-paced NGO setting. This internship aims to offer exposure to essential ICT functions such as user support, systems administration, network monitoring, data and systems management, and ICT security operations. The intern will collaborate closely with the ICT team to assist with daily tasks, contribute to active projects, and advance the organization’s mission by maintaining seamless, secure, and dependable ICT services.

Oversee and execute a range of critical responsibilities designed to support organizational objectives, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and operational standards. Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality results, maintaining accountability for project milestones and deliverables. Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, productivity, and overall performance. Monitor workflows to identify opportunities for optimization, mitigate risks, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Serve as a key liaison between departments, fostering clear communication and coordination to achieve seamless operations. Maintain rigorous compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and best practices to uphold organizational integrity and reputation. Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, cultivating a culture of excellence, innovation, and professional growth.

Deliver technical support to employees regarding common software and hardware-related problems.

Provide support for installing, configuring, and maintaining hardware and software systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

Provide assistance with network troubleshooting and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

Oversee the follow-up process for ICT equipment repairs and maintenance to ensure timely resolution and optimal functionality.

Deliver comprehensive ICT support for meetings, events, and field operations as required.

Support ICT Security Operations by monitoring threats, enforcing established security policies, facilitating audit processes, and ensuring adherence to organizational compliance standards.

Document unresolved issues and ensure their timely escalation to senior ICT personnel for resolution.

Execute any additional responsibilities as directed by the ICT supervisor.

Academic and professional qualifications required include a relevant degree or equivalent professional experience in the field. Candidates must possess a minimum number of years of professional experience, as well as specific certifications or licenses pertinent to the role. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential, alongside proficiency in industry-specific software or tools. Additionally, familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance requirements is often required.

Currently enrolled in or having recently graduated from a degree program in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline.

Proficiency in both Unix and Windows-based applications, along with a foundational understanding of networking principles, is required.

Proven expertise in networking, PC maintenance, Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft Active Directory, desktop operating systems, as well as Cisco routing, switching, and voice technologies is required.

Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities are essential, enabling effective interaction and collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.

Eagerness to continuously acquire new skills and effectively integrate emerging technologies into workflows.

Proven capability to maintain meticulous attention to detail and collaborate effectively within team settings.

Demonstrates a strong dedication to AGRA’s mission and upholds its core values with unwavering integrity and purpose.
