The ICT Assistant specializing in Network Administration, who reports directly to the Head of ICT, is tasked with evaluating information risk and supporting the resolution of identified vulnerabilities to mitigate IT security and risk concerns throughout Kenya Tea Packers. This role involves coordinating ICT system support in collaboration with the Database Administrator, Business Intelligence, and Reporting teams. Additionally, the incumbent ensures secure network connectivity both within and between Keep offices while maintaining the integrity and security of all company systems.

Oversee all communications and address network issues by proactively implementing preventive strategies for IT networks, systems, and software applications.
Present the findings and recommendations regarding identified vulnerabilities to the Head of ICT, enabling them to take corrective measures.
Perform vulnerabilities assessment using IT security tools and methodologies to report any IT security/Risk exposure within the IT network, systems and software applications.
By collaborating with users, the incumbent evaluates workflow, access, information, and security requirements to define precise network specifications. Additionally, they develop router administration strategies, encompassing interface configuration and routing protocol design.

The Head of Enhance is responsible for conducting regular audits of firewall rules, configurations, and logs to strengthen cyber defense and security measures. This involves establishing access privileges, implementing robust control structures, and allocating resources effectively.
Support the ICT Manager by evaluating and recommending enhancements to critical ICT policies, including the Disaster Recovery Plan, the Company Technology Infrastructure Strategy, and the Systems & Business Continuity Planning Standard Operating Procedures.
Responsibilities include maintaining, updating, and tracking records within the ICT support helpdesk system while delivering prompt, reliable, and ongoing assistance to all users of the information and telecommunication infrastructure.
Offer foundational training and technical assistance to users in network access and software application utilization while collaborating with the ICT Manager to ensure accurate maintenance of all information systems documentation.
Collaborate with vendor support representatives to assess and revise service-level agreements (SLAs) while troubleshooting technical issues impacting end-user hardware, software, and network infrastructure, including MPLS, SD-WAN, and internet connectivity.
Ensure all PCs, laptops, and servers within the domain/network operate on licensed and current operating systems, while maintaining updated endpoint security versions.
Ensure seamless interconnection of all computers with a variety of systems, including validation systems, file servers, email servers, application servers, and administrative systems.
Collaborate with the Head of ICT to develop the annual ICT training capital expenditure (CAPEX) and operational expenditure (OPEX) budgets.
Provide support for any additional tasks delegated by either the Systems Administrator or the Head of ICT as required.
