Job Specification

At this level, responsibilities will include overseeing and executing a range of critical tasks that contribute to the overall objectives of the role. Key duties will involve managing assigned projects, coordinating team efforts, and ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures. Additionally, the position will require effective communication with stakeholders, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to analyze complex data to drive informed decision-making. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in relevant software and tools, as well as a strong commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency.

Assisting in the formulation and implementation of human resource strategies, policies, and procedures is a key responsibility.

Responsibilities include reviewing and organizing data to ensure accuracy for payroll preparation.

Conducting comprehensive training needs assessments, developing accurate projections, and providing detailed recommendations for training programs are essential responsibilities of this role.

Delivering comprehensive secretarial support to the Management Advisory Committee.

Maintaining Human Resource records with precision and within the required timeframes is essential.

Executing human resource management directives in accordance with established policies, guidelines, and operational protocols.

Overseeing the payroll functions, including processing salaries, tax deductions, and benefits administration, ensuring accurate and timely disbursements to employees while maintaining compliance with relevant labor laws and regulations.

Compiling and preparing comprehensive reports on the performance management systems’ implementation, particularly performance appraisals, is a key responsibility of this role.

Maintaining accurate documentation of staff training and development initiatives.

Person specification

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess the following:

Accumulated nine years of professional work experience, with a minimum of three years in the capacity of Senior Human Resource Management Officer or an equivalent role within the Public Service or Private Sector.

A bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or an equivalent recognized qualification from an accredited institution is required.

OR

A bachelor’s degree in Economics, Sociology, Business Administration, Public Administration, or Commerce is required, along with a postgraduate diploma in Human Resource Management or Development—or an equivalent credential—from an accredited institution.

Registered with the Institute of Human Resource Management (HRM), demonstrating compliance with professional standards in the field.

Management Course from a recognized institution is required.

Demonstrated expertise in utilizing various computer applications is required.
