Key duties associated with this position encompass the following:
Deliver superior, practical, and inquiry-driven Physics lessons that strictly adhere to the Kenya curriculum standards.
Foster positive, constructive, and professional relationships with students, their families, and colleagues.
Develop lesson plans in collaboration with the Learning Design Team and assist in reviewing and updating lessons as needed or requested.
Foster a classroom atmosphere that promotes optimal learning, aligns with students’ developmental stages and interests, and sustains an orderly and goal-oriented educational setting.
Infuse lessons with joy and passion to cultivate excitement and interest in academic excellence among students.
Offer tailored support and adjustments to ensure the academic and cultural advancement of every student, fostering an inclusive environment for their growth and achievement.
Ensure students achieve proficiency in the designated academic content and meet established educational standards.
Incorporate dynamic technological tools into educational lessons to elevate the effectiveness of instructional methods.
Establish and convey high expectations and challenging goals for every student while delivering constructive feedback that fosters their understanding and ownership of these objectives.
Deliver reliable rewards and/or sanctions in response to student behavior while consistently exemplifying the conduct expected of students for them to replicate.

As a teacher on duty and/or boarding teacher on duty, you will play a key role in supporting school-wide initiatives designed to reinforce positive behavior interventions. Your responsibilities will include actively overseeing student conduct and ensuring a structured, supportive environment aligned with these programs.
Promptly record and maintain accurate student data regarding academic performance, ensuring timely updates on progress. Share these details with National Partnership (NP) families and other relevant stakeholders as required, demonstrating clear and concise communication at all times.
Facilitate clubs, societies, and other vital co-curricular activities within the school to foster the development of well-rounded students.
Provide instruction as a homeroom teacher as needed to support classroom management and student engagement.
ABOUT YOU
Required Skills and Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as computer science, engineering, or mathematics, is necessary. Proven experience in software development, with a minimum of three years in a professional setting, is essential. Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, or C++ is required. Experience with databases, APIs, and cloud services is a must. Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills are crucial. Excellent communication and teamwork skills are also necessary. Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git, is preferred. Knowledge of Agile methodologies is a plus.
TSC certification is required, along with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, with a specialization in physics as the teaching subject.
