Job Description
You will spearhead the creation, development, and execution of a cohesive Global Affairs strategy tailored for Kenya, Glove’s flagship Sub-Saharan market and a pivotal player in Africa’s digital economy. In this pivotal phase of growth, you will serve as the primary strategic advisor on-site, ensuring the protection of Glove’s business model amid a rising tide of regulatory challenges.
The Global Affairs team comprises three key departments: Government Relations, PR & Social Media, and Impact & Sustainability. Additionally, you will champion our interests to foster an advantageous business landscape. Your responsibilities will include expanding our country-wide social media presence in alignment with the Marketing team’s efforts.
As a result, you will consistently champion our sustainability and social impact initiatives, thereby amplifying our positive influence. Serving as a trusted advisor, you will collaborate with teams at every level within Glove, ensuring that all communications remain cohesive and fully aligned with the company’s core purpose, vision, and mission.
Join a collaborative team environment where you will have the opportunity to contribute meaningfully while working alongside talented professionals. Your role will involve participating in group projects, sharing innovative ideas, and supporting colleagues to achieve shared objectives.
Define, oversee, and implement Glove’s non-market strategy in public affairs, leveraging communication initiatives, impact-driven projects, and sustainability efforts to enhance success and reinforce legitimacy.
Lead local consultancies in coordination with think tanks, industry associations, and other pivotal stakeholders to develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan.
Serve as a critical bridge between internal teams, including Marketing, Legal, and Operations, to foster cohesive alignment on strategies designed to tackle the nation’s most critical challenges while driving alignment with business performance objectives and measurable metrics.
Conduct comprehensive assessments to provide management with strategic insights into the local stakeholder landscape, including risks and opportunities, while cultivating key connections across regulatory, administrative, media, and social domains.
You will spearhead high-level engagements with key stakeholders and pivotal policy dialogues, consistently serving as Glove’s primary representative in all interactions.
Ensure strategic budget allocation is carefully planned and executed to support high-impact, scalable initiatives.
