To maintain the effectiveness of Save the Children International’s financial control framework and promptly detect compliance issues, this role involves conducting comprehensive reviews and analyzing financial reporting and KPIs from both country and global teams. Collaborating with country, global, and member teams, the position requires developing action plans to mitigate financial risks and address control weaknesses, fostering ongoing improvement and ensuring organizational standardization. Additionally, this role will guide the Financial Control and Donor Audit teams in producing precise reporting and executing successful audits while championing best practices and global financial control expertise.

Overseeing the primary responsibilities, this role involves directing key account management tasks, ensuring compliance with established policies, and maintaining high standards of performance. The position requires managing critical client relationships, driving business growth, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve organizational objectives. Additionally, the role entails monitoring revenue targets, assessing financial performance, and implementing strategic initiatives to enhance client satisfaction and retention. Ensure the effectiveness of SCI’s financial control framework by promptly identifying control and compliance issues through thorough reviews and analysis of country financial returns and key performance indicators.

Collaborate with country, global, and member teams to design and implement strategic initiatives that mitigate financial risks and address control deficiencies.

Oversee the QRR financial control and compliance operations, compiling KPI reports and risk analyses for review by both the Finance Senior Management Team and the IP Senior Management Team.

Strive to enhance the quality and effectiveness of financial information to better support decision-making while fostering standardization and automation across global and local teams.

Deliver specialized guidance and assistance to country and global teams to implement robust financial control best practices. Facilitate the enhancement of professional financial control competencies across international and local finance teams while ensuring policies, procedures, and guidance are meticulously documented within the Quality Framework and complemented by accessible, relevant training programs.

Lead annual donor and member award audits, collaborating with members and donors to clarify audit requirements while overseeing daily interactions with auditors to ensure precise reporting and seamless audit completion. Assist in creating and tracking action plans aimed at resolving and minimizing donor audit findings, subsequently communicating audit outcomes to donors and members.

Spearhead the Financial Control team as well as the donor and award audit teams.

Drive financial oversight for EDIT projects, ensuring thorough consideration and effective implementation of financial control measures to achieve project deliverables and realize intended benefits.
