The DREAM Finance and Grants Assistant, Pan-Africa will provide essential support to the projects’ RIO financial operations and compliance frameworks. Responsibilities involve assisting with RIO Administration and Management, including payment processing, expenditure tracking, and grant documentation management. Additional duties include maintaining precise financial records, compiling grants and finance summaries, overseeing RIO budgets, and ensuring adherence to both donor and organizational policies.

Oversee a range of critical duties including managing and optimizing operational workflows to ensure efficiency and productivity. Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance team performance and meet organizational goals. Collaborate with cross-functional departments to align projects with company objectives and foster seamless communication. Conduct regular evaluations of processes to identify areas for improvement and implement data-driven solutions. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies while maintaining high standards of quality and accountability. Provide leadership and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.

RIO Management and Administration encompasses overseeing operational logistics, ensuring smooth workflows, and maintaining accurate records to support organizational efficiency. This role involves coordinating administrative tasks, managing documentation, and implementing processes to enhance productivity. Additionally, it requires proficiency in software tools, strong organizational skills, and the ability to liaise with stakeholders to facilitate seamless operations. Prepare and assist with the development, compilation, and processing of RIO proposals, budgets, and agreements.

Assist in the oversight and verification of RIO financial deliverables to ensure adherence to the guidelines and standards set by the Mastercard Foundation and WUSS.

Assist in compiling and compiling internal reports pertinent to RIO activities.

Act as the designated liaison for Los, addressing and resolving application-related queries throughout the RFP process.

Maintaining meticulous management of both hard copy and digital records pertaining to grants and financial documentation is essential. This includes organizing, storing, safeguarding, and ensuring easy retrieval of critical financial and grant-related documents.

Design and uphold a comprehensive records management system that unifies both physical and digital documentation, ensuring centralized organization through standardized naming conventions, stringent access protocols, and robust data protection measures, including secure backups, to guarantee complete transparency and audit readiness.

Provides fiscal oversight and management to ensure alignment with allocated financial resources, including preparation, monitoring, and reporting of budgets to maintain operational efficiency and compliance with regulatory standards.

Assists in monitoring budget allocations, reconciling actual expenditures with planned budgets, and detecting discrepancies in financial RIO reports.

Prepare budgets for projects, contribute financial details to proposals, and revise budget allocations as required.

Coordination Support involves providing efficient administrative and logistical assistance to ensure seamless operations. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently. Responsibilities include scheduling meetings, maintaining records, coordinating communications between departments, and supporting project execution. Proficiency in office software, strong interpersonal abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential. Seeking a candidate with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, complemented by a minimum of three years of professional experience in software development or systems engineering. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++ is essential, alongside demonstrated expertise in database management and cloud computing technologies. Strong problem-solving abilities, exceptional analytical skills, and a collaborative mindset are required to thrive in a dynamic technical environment. The ideal applicant will also possess excellent communication skills to convey complex technical concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders.

A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or an equivalent discipline is required.

Seeking a candidate with 2 to 4 years of professional experience in accounting, finance, grants management, or related disciplines. Experience in donor-funded initiatives is particularly advantageous.

Professional Certification: Holding partial or full certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or an Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ARCA) professional is essential.

Advanced proficiency is required in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, including expertise in pivot tables and complex formulas, as well as computerized accounting software.
