Our client, a premier telecommunications provider, is seeking to employ Field Operations Engineers specializing in Transmission/GSM to join their dynamic team.

Job summary/Job purpose/ Role Intent:

Perform routine maintenance and operational tasks in the designated area to uphold service quality and continuity in accordance with established KPIs and budget constraints. Manage and oversee network expansion projects, ensuring timely execution and follow-up. Identify and promptly report any malfunctions or disruptions in network components to prevent potential issues.

Execute a comprehensive range of duties encompassing strategic planning, operational oversight, and team leadership to ensure the attainment of organizational objectives. Oversee daily activities to maintain efficiency, enforce compliance with established policies, and foster a collaborative work environment. Respond to equipment malfunctions reported via the trouble ticket system, adhering to established corrective maintenance key performance indicators.

Conduct regular preventive maintenance to maintain the health and proper functioning of equipment and surrounding environments.

Collaborate closely with the Support and NMC teams to analyze fault incidents, guaranteeing accurate and prompt resolutions while ensuring that clearing confirmations are properly documented and communicated as required.

Propose strategic enhancements to the network infrastructure to optimize performance and efficiency.

Conduct preventive maintenance activities in accordance with established procedures and prepare detailed reports documenting all tasks performed.

Collaborate with equipment vendors to execute new site commissioning tests, ensuring that all accepted links and sites adhere to the established criteria outlined in engineering standards and equipment factory specifications.

Prepare comprehensive reports detailing all maintenance activities and participate in daily meetings to assess progress and outcomes.

To identify the root cause of link failures, complete the RCA form by documenting the reasons for outages and compile supporting evidence promptly when requested.

Consistently deliver 90% of assigned tasks correctly on the initial attempt.

Seeking candidates with a strong academic foundation and relevant professional experience as key qualifications.
