We seek a motivated Channel Manager – OTC Supermarket to join our Consumer Health business unit. The successful candidate will possess extensive experience in key account management and FMCG channel sales leadership, demonstrating a track record of accelerating revenue growth, guiding high-performing sales teams, and cultivating strategic retail partnerships within the supermarket sector.

In this position, the successful candidate will spearhead the creation and implementation of channel strategies aimed at expanding market share, enhancing product visibility, and meeting sales objectives within the modern trade channel.

Responsibilities include managing daily operations to ensure optimal performance, overseeing team activities, and implementing strategies to enhance efficiency and productivity. Key tasks involve coordinating with cross-functional departments, analyzing performance metrics to identify trends, and developing solutions to address operational challenges. Additionally, you will be tasked with maintaining compliance with company policies and industry regulations, as well as fostering a collaborative work environment that supports employee growth and engagement.

Develop and execute strategic channel initiatives to enhance revenue growth, profitability, market share, and sales objectives within the modern trade segment, while also uncovering fresh business prospects and market dynamics to reinforce the OTC presence.

Ensure consistent product availability, enhanced visibility, and accurate merchandising across all supermarket locations. Partner with marketing and category teams to refine in-store execution strategies and strengthen brand representation.

Demonstrate leadership in driving operational excellence, enhancing customer engagement, optimizing merchandising strategies, and ensuring strict compliance standards. Cultivate a dynamic, high-performing sales environment that prioritizes collaboration and a customer-first approach.

This role entails conducting data analytics and generating market intelligence reports. You will analyze sales performance data to compile weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reports. Additionally, you will deliver precise sales forecasts and demand projections to aid supply chain planning. Responsibilities also include collecting and disseminating market intelligence regarding competitor actions, product performance, customer trends, and pricing fluctuations.

Develop and nurture strategic partnerships with major supermarket chains, convenience stores, metro-marts, distributors, and key stakeholders to foster long-term business growth. Engage in high-level negotiations to finalize advantageous trading terms, secure product listings, determine competitive pricing strategies, optimize shelf placements, coordinate impactful promotional initiatives, and establish visibility agreements that enhance brand presence.

Develop and implement customized account strategies and promotional initiatives, collaborate with key stakeholders to secure advantageous joint business plans, and ensure their successful execution.

We are seeking a candidate with a strong academic background in a relevant field and at least three years of professional experience in a comparable role. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools is essential, along with excellent problem-solving abilities and a track record of delivering high-quality results. The ideal applicant will demonstrate strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and the capacity to collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment. Additionally, prior experience in project management or leadership positions is highly desirable.

A Bachelor’s Degree in Sales & Marketing, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline is required.

Applicants must possess prior experience in Key Account Management or Modern Trade Channels to be considered for this role.

A proven track record of at least five years in FMCG sales is required, including a minimum of two years in a leadership or channel management capacity.

Experienced in consistently meeting and exceeding sales targets, fostering business expansion, and leading high-performing teams to success.

Demonstrates exceptional leadership capabilities, proficiency in negotiation, coaching expertise, and strong relationship management skills.

Accomplished in interpreting data and producing insightful reports, with a keen ability to analyze sales performance and leverage findings to inform strategic decisions.
