As the Communications & Marketing Specialist, you will play a key role in advancing the global communications and fundraising initiatives of Pathfinder International. Reporting directly to the Communications Director, your responsibilities will include contributing to the creation of impactful communications materials, organizing strategic events, and developing engaging digital content for the organization’s website, social media platforms, and fundraising campaigns. Collaborating closely with the Communications Director and Development Marketing Advisor, you will help strengthen Pathfinder’s brand presence and resonance with key stakeholders.

Oversee and execute core duties including strategic planning, project management, and cross-functional collaboration to drive organizational success. Establish and maintain effective communication channels with stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency. Monitor performance metrics and implement data-driven improvements to optimize operational efficiency. Lead team initiatives, foster professional development, and cultivate a high-performance culture. Serve as a liaison between departments to streamline processes and resolve interdepartmental challenges. Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards while promoting a safe and inclusive work environment.

Communications Support encompasses providing administrative assistance to the communications team, including drafting and editing written content, managing correspondence, and coordinating internal and external communications. Responsibilities involve maintaining organizational messaging consistency, updating websites and social media platforms, and supporting event planning efforts. The role requires strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and proficiency in standard office software, as well as excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Prior experience in a similar support capacity within a communications or marketing environment is preferred.

Offer comprehensive editorial assistance to country teams, encompassing content creation for diverse materials such as blog posts, feature stories, one-pagers, briefing documents, and additional collateral as required.

Graphics and visual content are created to engage diverse stakeholders, such as donors, partners, and media representatives.

We are seeking a meticulous proofreader/copy editor to ensure all written content is polished, accurate, and free of errors before publication. This role involves meticulously reviewing documents for grammatical precision, spelling accuracy, punctuation correctness, and adherence to style guidelines. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional attention to detail, strong command of language, and the ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining consistency across various writing styles and formats. Responsibilities include correcting syntax, refining clarity, and ensuring factual accuracy, along with verifying formatting and layout consistency. Prior experience in proofreading or copy editing, either in publishing, journalism, marketing, or related fields, is required.

Engage with external stakeholders, including customers, partners, and industry leaders, to build and maintain strong relationships, gather feedback, and represent the organization’s interests effectively. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to align external initiatives with strategic goals, ensuring consistent communication and value delivery. Responsibilities include organizing and participating in industry events, managing key account relationships, and driving initiatives that enhance brand reputation and market presence. A strong network, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to influence stakeholders are essential. Experience in external relations, public affairs, or a related field is preferred.

Supports Pathfinder’s participation in high-priority international conferences by collaborating with partners to organize panels and events, promote activities, prepare delegations, and ensure comprehensive follow-up after the events.

Craft and implement data-driven digital marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility, engage target audiences, and drive measurable growth across online platforms. Leverage SEO, content marketing, email campaigns, and paid advertising to optimize reach and conversion rates. Analyze performance metrics, including website traffic, engagement rates, and ROI, to refine tactics and maximize campaign effectiveness. Collaborate with cross-functional teams—such as design, sales, and product—to ensure cohesive messaging and alignment with business objectives. Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in digital marketing to maintain a competitive edge. Requires proficiency in tools like Google Analytics, Meta Ads Manager, and marketing automation platforms, along with strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills. Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field is preferred, and 3+ years of hands-on experience in digital marketing is typically required.

Facilitate the implementation of marketing initiatives across various digital platforms, such as email marketing, social media outreach, and web-based content development.

Revise and maintain website content via the CMS while upholding high standards of accuracy, uniformity, and intuitive navigation for visitors.

Apply basic SEO best practices to digital content to improve search visibility.

Support email marketing efforts, including drafting, formatting, and scheduling communications

What You Bring:

A Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, or an equivalent field is mandatory for this position.

Requires 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in communications and marketing roles.

Proficiency in utilizing modern software tools for design purposes, including Canva and Adobe applications, as well as web-based platforms and solutions—particularly content management systems—is required.

Demonstrates a strong track record in leading and executing cross-functional initiatives, with a keen aptitude for integrating and aligning the efforts of diverse teams to achieve common objectives.

Proven capability to manage and deliver all aspects of a project with meticulous attention to detail and adherence to high-quality standards.

Demonstrated proficiency in engaging and persuading key stakeholders through tactful and diplomatic communication.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited institution, along with a minimum of three years of relevant professional experience. Proficiency in industry-standard software, tools, and methodologies is required, with a demonstrated ability to apply them effectively in a practical setting. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, coupled with excellent communication abilities to collaborate across teams and stakeholders. Familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance frameworks is preferred, as is prior experience in a leadership or mentorship role.
