We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to oversee a range of critical tasks and uphold key responsibilities. The role involves managing daily operations, ensuring adherence to company policies, and maintaining high standards of efficiency and accuracy. Deliver expert technical assistance to MA program personnel across designated thematic domains—Alternative Care, Family Strengthening, and Community Empowerment—while ensuring strict adherence to organizational benchmarks and directives.

Assist in facilitating trainings and workshops designed to enhance the capacity of MA program staff in program quality standards and pertinent thematic areas.

Provide assistance with the establishment and ongoing evaluation of organizational and international quality standards across Member Associations (MA’s), while ensuring any detected deficiencies or potential risks are communicated without delay to the Supervisor.

Provide expert technical guidance to MA program teams throughout project design and planning phases, which encompasses the creation of humanitarian and development proposals, while assisting in quality assurance assessments in collaboration with the Supervisor.

Support Medical Assistants (MA’s) in adapting federation quality standards to local contexts, ensuring full compliance with existing guidelines and protocols.

Document practices, lessons learned, and program improvement insights to bolster organizational learning and foster continuous quality improvements.

Our role involves assisting in the creation and execution of Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) tools and procedures within the MA support department, as well as facilitating their implementation across all supported MA’s.

Facilitate peer learning programs, cross-cultural exchange initiatives, and educational workshops while documenting and sharing best practices to enhance collective knowledge and collaboration.

Assist in creating or modifying tools, guidance materials, and templates, and facilitate their integration within Member Associations (MA’s).

Support MA program teams during program adjustments—including the piloting of new methodologies or the management of transitional phases—as assigned.

Contribute to external technical forums or networks as necessary to facilitate knowledge exchange and learning processes, while refraining from acting as an independent representative.

To ensure adherence to safeguarding protocols and foster a secure setting for all individuals involved.

As a representative of SOS Children’s Villages, you will be tasked with establishing and sustaining a secure and nurturing environment for staff, as well as the children, young people, and adult participants engaged in our programs. Your responsibilities will include:

Requirements

A Master’s degree is essential, ideally in social sciences, Project Management, Psychology, Child Rights, Development Studies, or a closely related discipline.

Proficient in program cycle management and Results-Based Management (RBM), encompassing project design, implementation, and evaluation, with a comprehensive grasp of these critical methodologies.

A minimum of five to eight years of pertinent professional experience is required for this role.

Individuals should possess proven expertise in program quality assurance, program design, or similar technical advisory capacities within development, humanitarian, or social service institutions.

Professionals should demonstrate practical expertise in delivering technical program support within at least one specialized field, including alternative care, family strengthening, child and youth development, or mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS).

Demonstrated expertise in providing assistance to program teams and implementing organizational quality standards is required.

Proficiency in program design, strategic planning, and quality assessment processes is essential, complemented by a demonstrated commitment to capacity-building through trainings, workshops, or educational events.

Proficiency in navigating multicultural settings and engaging with diverse stakeholder groups is essential.

Technical Proficiency (with skill level and essential/desired designation)

Proven expertise in program quality assurance methodologies and adherence to established organizational standards.

Demonstrates a strong track record in assisting with the development, execution, and oversight of program activities.

Experienced in coordinating and facilitating training sessions, workshops, and educational activities, with a focus on intermediate-level proficiency.

Possesses a solid understanding of contextual and cultural factors that influence program implementation environments, demonstrating an intermediate level of awareness.

Individuals possessing a strong understanding of safeguarding protocols, accountability frameworks, and principles of ethical programming are preferred for this role.

Solid expertise in overseeing, assessing, or refining monitoring, evaluation, and learning systems is preferred.

Ideal candidates will have prior experience with program reviews, assessments, or audits, though this is not a strict requirement.

Proficient communication and interpersonal abilities are essential, along with a strong capacity for collaboration and teamwork. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are highly valued, as is the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and prioritize tasks effectively.
