The monthly salary range progresses as follows: KSS. 34,420 x 1,300, Kshs. 35,720 x 1,380, Kshs. 37,100 x 1,390, Kshs. 38,490 x 1,460, Kshs. 39,950 x 1,470, Kshs. 41,420 x 1,470, Kshs. 42,890 x 1,520, Kshs. 44,410 x 1,710, reaching a maximum of KSS. 46,120 per month.

Oversee and execute core responsibilities encompassing strategic planning, operational management, and team leadership to drive organizational objectives forward. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and performance metrics to ensure efficiency, compliance, and continuous improvement across all departments. Collaborate with senior management and stakeholders to align projects with long-term business goals while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration. Monitor departmental performance, analyze key performance indicators, and provide actionable insights to optimize workflows, enhance productivity, and mitigate risks. Serve as a liaison between executive leadership and operational teams to facilitate clear communication, streamline decision-making processes, and support cross-functional initiatives. Additionally, ensure adherence to regulatory standards, industry best practices, and company policies while mentoring and developing high-performing teams to achieve excellence in execution and service delivery.

This position serves as the initial level within the cadre, providing entry-level experience and structured training. The incumbent will function as an Officer, operating under the mentorship and oversight of a more experienced senior officer.

Headquarters for the County is situated in a central location, serving as the primary administrative hub for county operations.

At this level, the role involves performing a range of administrative duties, managing the enforcement of county laws, and safeguarding government property, assets, facilities, and inventory. Additionally, the position requires overseeing infrastructure and facility maintenance, coordinating transport management, and planning office accommodation arrangements. The role also includes managing the procurement, development, and updating of office equipment and furniture, as well as facilitating meetings, conferences, and other special events. Furthermore, the position entails supervising the general upkeep of buildings and furniture.

Field Administration involves planning, organizing, executing, and overseeing operations in remote or on-site locations to ensure projects or services are delivered efficiently and in compliance with organizational standards. The position requires individuals to manage logistics, coordinate teams, monitor progress, and resolve issues promptly to maintain productivity and quality. Strong leadership, problem-solving abilities, and adaptability are essential, along with a keen understanding of regulatory requirements and operational protocols. Proficiency in documentation and reporting is also necessary to track performance and ensure accountability.

The officer will report to and be supervised by a senior officer while performing duties at this level. Responsibilities include building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, addressing public inquiries and concerns, and tracking and assessing community initiatives. The role also involves coordinating local resource mobilization, encouraging community engagement in development efforts, and ensuring adherence to occupational health and safety standards. Additionally, the officer will promote ethical conduct and principles of good governance, compile and analyze data related to developmental activities, and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to organize public participation forums.

Requirements:

To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

A recognized institution must award a Bachelor’s degree in disciplines such as Public Administration, Business Administration/Management, Community Development, or any related field within the Social Sciences.

Holds a Certificate in Computer Applications, demonstrating foundational knowledge and practical skills in essential software tools and technologies.
