The role will be primarily dedicated to teaching responsibilities on a permanent, pensionable basis while concurrently serving as Dean of School through a three-year term that is subject to renewal. Reporting directly to the Deputy Vice Chancellor for Academics, Research, and Student Affairs, the position entails the following key responsibilities:

The role encompasses a comprehensive set of duties and responsibilities designed to ensure operational excellence and team effectiveness. Key tasks involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive project objectives, overseeing daily operations to maintain productivity, and implementing best practices to enhance efficiency. Additionally, the position requires meticulous attention to detail in monitoring performance metrics, preparing detailed reports, and providing actionable insights to senior management. Strong problem-solving abilities, adaptability, and a proactive approach are essential to address challenges and foster continuous improvement. The successful candidate will also be responsible for mentoring junior staff, fostering a positive work environment, and ensuring compliance with all organizational policies and industry regulations.

The School’s strategic planning encompasses comprehensive development and long-term goal-setting initiatives to ensure sustained growth and alignment with institutional objectives. This process involves detailed analysis, stakeholder engagement, and data-driven decision-making to formulate actionable strategies that enhance educational quality, operational efficiency, and community impact. Responsibilities include evaluating current programs, identifying opportunities for improvement, and aligning resources with strategic priorities. The role requires strong analytical skills, leadership in cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to translate visionary ideas into practical implementation plans.

Ensuring the delivery of high-quality instruction and assessment, verifying that courses are completed thoroughly, punctually, and in accordance with established standards while maintaining the integrity of examinations.

Monitoring and managing student and staff attendance records is a key responsibility of this role.

The strategic planning, allocation, and management of resources—both human and physical—ensure their optimal utilization to achieve organizational objectives efficiently. This involves overseeing the distribution, utilization, and sustainability of these resources to maximize productivity and effectiveness within the operational framework.

To sustain the School’s viability, the role focuses on enhancing student retention, ensuring cohort completion, improving progression rates, and expanding the student population.

Spearheading research initiatives and fostering innovation within the School.

Spearheading and motivating the development of grants and proposals for the School.

Forging and overseeing strategic alliances and cooperative relationships within the industry is essential.

Spearheading the School’s internationalization initiatives, encompassing the expansion of program offerings, diversification of the student nationality mix, and enhancement of international exposure for students and staff through structured exchange programs.

Delivering exceptional customer service to students and staff by addressing their concerns promptly and effectively.

Responsibilities include overseeing employee performance, monitoring attendance and leave, and addressing disciplinary matters to ensure workforce productivity and compliance with company policies.

We will lead program development and review initiatives, ensuring that all programs align with both market demands and the School’s strategic growth objectives.

Developing and enforcing compliance with institutional policies established by the university is a key responsibility.

Developing and executing initiatives aimed at consistently enhancing the employability of graduates.

Performs additional tasks as delegated by the supervisor as needed.

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced professional to join our team, with a proven track record in their field and a minimum of [X years] of relevant work experience. The ideal candidate will hold a [specific degree or certification, if applicable] and possess advanced technical skills in [relevant areas]. Demonstrates a proven track record of active participation in academic conferences, seminars, or workshops, contributing meaningfully to discussions and knowledge exchange.

Able to contribute meaningfully to the university community by engaging actively in departmental and school initiatives, offering academic guidance to students, and serving on relevant committees, among other responsibilities.

Membership in a pertinent professional organization is required.
