THE ROLE

As the Sous Chef, you will spearhead our culinary operations throughout Nairobi, reporting directly to the Head Chef. This dynamic and hands-on leadership position requires you to ensure seamless kitchen functionality, uphold the premium food quality our guests anticipate, and foster the growth of your team.

You will collaborate across various branch locations, emphasizing the critical importance of maintaining uniformity. Regardless of whether you are conducting the initial service of the day or the final one, your commitment to excellence remains unwavering.

WHAT YOU’LL OWN

Maintain unwavering food quality and consistency by upholding uniform presentation and taste standards across all locations, ensuring excellence in every service provided.

Oversee cost containment and waste minimization efforts with a strong focus on food expenses, actively minimizing unnecessary expenditures while ensuring precise stock rotation practices.

You oversee all kitchen operations, including prep scheduling, duty rosters, supply coordination, and inventory management, ensuring seamless day-to-day functionality.

Provide guidance, inspiration, and growth opportunities to the kitchen team by fostering a supportive and engaging environment. Conduct consistent one-on-one meetings to assess progress, address concerns, and reinforce accountability. Cultivate a workplace culture that encourages ownership, excellence, and collective success.

Ensuring impeccable hygiene and strict compliance with food safety regulations is paramount. You will consistently adhere to proper equipment handling protocols and maintain a state of constant readiness for any emergencies across the team.
