Perform thorough evaluations of ocular health and visual function through detailed eye examinations and comprehensive vision assessments.

Identify and evaluate visual impairments and ocular disorders.

Examine patients’ vision requirements and provide appropriate corrective eyewear, including glasses and contact lenses.

Identify and address ocular diseases, ensuring to escalate intricate cases to the appropriate specialists when necessary.

Deliver comprehensive education to patients regarding eye health maintenance and preventive care strategies.

Ensure the precision and thoroughness of patient records and documentation.

Work alongside ophthalmologists and other healthcare providers to deliver high-quality patient care.

Engage in community outreach programs and conduct eye screening initiatives as needed.

Applicants must satisfy the following essential criteria: a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, at least three years of professional experience in a comparable role, proficiency in industry-standard software tools, and demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities. A recognized institution must confer a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Optometry, or alternatively, a Bachelor of Optometry and Vision Science.

A current, active professional license issued by the applicable regulatory authority in Kenya is required.

A minimum of three years of hands-on clinical experience within a fast-paced healthcare environment is strongly preferred.

Proven ability to interact effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders, fostering clear and concise exchanges of information.
