Develop and oversee program schedules in Primavera P6, coordinating across civil, structural, MEP, and architectural disciplines. Conduct critical path analysis, evaluate schedule compression strategies, and perform delay assessments. Generate earned value management (EVM) reports, tracking CPI and SPI metrics alongside dynamic traffic-light dashboards. Conduct site visits to evaluate progress firsthand. Lead contractor and consultant management while administering contractual obligations. Analyze procurement sequencing, resource allocation, and logistics planning through what-if scenario modelling. Prepare technical memoranda and briefing documents aligned with international program management standards. Utilize ERP Next for project controls and Google Workspace for document management, incorporating AI-enhanced workflows to streamline processes.

What We Are Looking For

A Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) or Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Architecture, earned from an accredited Kenyan university, is essential for this role. Expertise in the relevant field is highly regarded, as it forms the basis for effective planning and execution capabilities.

All candidates must successfully complete comprehensive aptitude assessments, which evaluate abstract reasoning, numerical analysis, and critical thinking capabilities. Given the demanding standards of our international clients, we maintain exceptionally high expectations throughout our evaluation process.

Proficiency or prior experience with Primavera P6, MS Project, or other comparable scheduling software is essential, along with a strong grasp of data-driven analysis and spreadsheet modeling. Candidates must be able to clearly communicate project management challenges and translate them into actionable construction execution through the development of Money-Ready Plans (MRPs)—covering technical, cost, logistics, and quality components. Strong interpersonal abilities are required to effectively manage relationships with both internal teams and external contractors. Additionally, familiarity with AI-assisted workflows is advantageous.

Character: Exhibits strong self-motivation, demonstrates intellectual integrity, maintains composure amid uncertainty, and consistently delivers exceptional results with minimal oversight. Our evaluation places significant emphasis on mindset as much as capability.

Please ensure your application includes a CV and a concise written response of up to 500 words addressing the following scenario: “A client in the Middle East has commissioned a mixed-use commercial tower with a structural completion deadline set for 18 months from the mobilization date. However, the MEP subcontractor has notified a 4-week delay in the rough-in process for levels 12 to 18 due to protracted shop drawing approvals. Additionally, the façade contractor’s schedule is structured to proceed floor-by-floor, commencing from Level 10. Identify three critical-path risks stemming from this delay and provide one mitigation strategy for each, clearly outlining any assumptions made.” Qualified candidates are invited to submit their CVs via email to recruitment@excelon.co.ke, with the position clearly stated in the subject line.
