As a Drilling TRS Crew Member, you will play a pivotal role in rig operations, providing essential support for tubular running activities critical to well construction. Your responsibilities will include operating mechanical and hydraulic TRS equipment, assisting with rig up and rig down procedures, and ensuring the safe handling of casing, tubing, and associated tools.
As a Drilling TRS Crew Member, your primary duties will include performing essential tasks related to drilling operations, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, and maintaining equipment functionality. You will be accountable for executing drilling activities in accordance with established procedures, collaborating with team members to achieve operational objectives, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the drilling process. Additionally, you will be required to monitor equipment performance, report any irregularities, and assist in troubleshooting technical issues to minimize downtime. Your role will demand strict compliance with industry regulations, rigorous attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
Operate TRS equipment, including power tongs, elevators, slips, spiders, torque-turn systems, and hydraulic power units, with a strong emphasis on safety and professionalism.
Responsibilities include providing support during the assembly and disassembly of TRS equipment, such as stabbing boards, power units, and tubular handling tools.
Effectively liaising with the drill floor operator, clients, and subcontracted personnel is essential to maintaining coordinated and safe operational procedures.
Conducting preliminary troubleshooting, comprehensive inspections, and routine maintenance on TRS equipment prior to, during, and following operational use.
Maintaining adherence to all safety protocols, participating in rig safety meetings, and promptly reporting any hazards or operational concerns.
Responsibilities include preparing job documentation, compiling activity reports, and assisting with various operational tasks as directed by the Operations Coordinator.
To excel in this position, you should demonstrate proficiency in the following areas:
A solid understanding of the oil and gas industry is required, with prior field experience in TRS or drilling operations strongly preferred.
Demonstrates a solid mechanical aptitude and proficiency in the safe and accurate operation of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic tools.
Proficient in collaborating and maintaining clear communication with rig crews, supervisors, and clients, even under demanding and high-pressure conditions.
A two-year technical degree is preferred, or an equivalent combination of technical training and relevant field experience is acceptable.
Proficient in problem-solving with a keen ability to adhere to established procedures, conduct thorough equipment inspections, and ensure operational readiness at all times.
Capable of accommodating travel obligations for both onshore and offshore assignments, this role demands flexibility to adhere to variable schedules, encompassing on-call duties and shift-based operational commitments.
