As a Drilling Technical Running Services (TRS) Crew Member, you will play a critical role in rig operations by providing essential support for tubular running activities, which are vital to well construction. Your responsibilities will include the operation of mechanical and hydraulic TRS equipment, as well as assisting with rig-up and rig-down procedures. Additionally, you will ensure the safe handling of casing, tubing, and associated tools throughout all phases of the operation.
As a Drilling TRS Crew Member, your duties will encompass operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting drilling equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations. You will collaborate closely with the drilling team to execute well site activities, including setting up and dismantling equipment, monitoring drilling parameters, and adhering to strict safety protocols. Additionally, you will be tasked with inspecting tools and machinery for wear or damage, conducting routine maintenance, and promptly reporting any issues to supervisors. Strong attention to detail, physical stamina, and a commitment to workplace safety are essential for this role. Operating TRS equipment—including power tongs, elevators, slips, spiders, torque-turn systems, and hydraulic power units—in a manner that ensures safety and professionalism is essential.
Assisting in the assembly and disassembly of TRS equipment, which encompasses stabbing boards, power units, and tubular handling tools.
Ensuring seamless and secure operations requires clear, consistent communication with the drill floor operator, clients, and subcontracted personnel.
Conducting preliminary diagnostics, routine inspections, and minor upkeep of TRS equipment prior to, during, and following operational procedures.
