Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults within HVAC systems at the component level, implementing corrective repairs to enhance equipment longevity and minimize replacement expenses.
Maintain, repair, and enhance air conditioning systems and their associated ventilation control systems to guarantee optimal indoor air quality and comfort.
Develop, refine, and execute preventive maintenance strategies for HVAC systems with the goal of enhancing operational reliability and minimizing unplanned downtime.
Ensure HVAC work completed by external contractors or service providers adheres to established quality, safety, and performance benchmarks through thorough oversight and inspection.
Maintain precise documentation of all HVAC-related activities, encompassing maintenance schedules, service reports, and technical schematics.
Verify that HVAC controls and automation systems are properly calibrated and configured to optimize energy efficiency and ensure operational consistency.
Ensure strict compliance with all health, safety, and environmental standards during the handling of refrigerants, electrical systems, and mechanical components.
Offer expert technical guidance and support to management and maintenance staff regarding HVAC systems, addressing both current issues and potential upgrades.

The requirements
Seeking a candidate with a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, coupled with at least three years of practical experience in a comparable role. Must demonstrate proficiency in industry-standard software and tools, alongside strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in project coordination or management is highly desirable.
Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) or an equivalent qualification is a mandatory prerequisite for this position.
Obtained a Diploma in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning or an equivalent technical qualification from an accredited institution.
With a minimum of three years of hands-on experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair, preferably within institutional, industrial, or commercial settings.
Proficiency in environmental and safety regulations pertinent to refrigerant handling and system maintenance is required.
Proficient in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of HVAC systems, demonstrating robust technical expertise.
Exceptional aptitude for troubleshooting and diagnosing issues, coupled with meticulous attention to detail.
