The Cluster Director of Revenue oversees the strategic direction of their home hotel’s Commercial Strategy team, shaping the vision for revenue optimization. This role sets measurable objectives and executes tactical initiatives to drive revenue growth across key customer segments and revenue streams while reinforcing the hotel’s brand positioning and market image. Accountable for data integrity and analytical insights, the position delivers actionable intelligence to the Commercial Strategy team and other corporate or ownership stakeholders, recommending data-driven revenue and e-commerce strategies. Additionally, the role ensures inventory allocation and pricing frameworks align with overarching revenue objectives, fostering collaboration among all stakeholders to enhance profitability. The position also cultivates and develops revenue management talent within the home hotel.
As a Cluster Director of Revenue, you will provide strategic guidance, coaching, and mentorship to two properties, aligning their objectives with those of your home hotel through consistent communication and on-site engagements. This position serves as a key liaison between the Regional Director of Revenue Management, Regional Director of Sales and Marketing, and Regional Vice President, ensuring seamless oversight of their respective hotels and areas.
Overseeing and executing a comprehensive range of duties, this role entails managing key operational tasks while ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating team efforts, maintaining compliance with established protocols, and driving process improvements to enhance efficiency. Drives forward strategic planning and partners with all hotel revenue-generating teams to proactively identify and pursue opportunities that enhance profitability across Rooms, Restaurants, Spas, and other key income channels.
Articulates a persuasive vision for maximizing Total Hotel Profit Optimization to all pertinent property leaders, cultivates a robust Revenue Management culture across revenue-generating departments, and imparts foundational RM principles throughout the hotel.
Harnesses advanced Revenue Management analytics, cutting-edge technologies, streamlined processes, specialized tools, and targeted training programs to maximize hotel profitability.
Develops accurate short- and long-term projections to inform strategic pricing and revenue optimization decisions.
Engages actively in the annual budget preparation and develops long-term financial projections as necessary.
Engages collaboratively in discussions and presentations pertaining to ownership matters.
Analyzes key economic, market, and competitive indicators to develop data-driven strategies aimed at maximizing profitability.
Chairs the weekly Revenue Management Meetings and ensures all materials are prepared in strict adherence to Brand guidelines.
Leverages a deep comprehension of all booking platforms to optimize room revenue contribution by effectively overseeing inventory allocation and strategic rate management.
Drives revenue growth by strategically defining and administering all pricing, promotional, and availability frameworks, including rate structures, tier levels, stay constraints, and related tactics. These strategies are meticulously aligned with demand dynamics to engage the most lucrative customer segments, ensuring optimal profitability.
Oversees and executes all channel distribution strategies, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Assesses emerging business prospects tied to booking channels to drive growth and efficiency.
Partner with the Marketing team to implement, assess, and enhance digital marketing initiatives, reinforcing the hotel’s strategic marketing plans while adhering to predefined budgetary constraints.
In collaboration with the Marketing team, this role oversees performance reviews with OTA/CTO partners, ensuring current knowledge of each partner’s distribution capabilities and extranet maintenance protocols to maximize the hotel’s online visibility. Additionally, the position assesses potential enhancements to extranet systems.
Drives incremental revenue growth by identifying and capitalizing on upsell opportunities across all booking channels.
As the system owner for RMS, CRS (including ORS and TARS), the Rate Shopping System, Travel CLICK products, and hotel-specific platforms, you will ensure data quality and system hygiene in alignment with Accor’s established standards, recommendations, and procedures.
Manages content across all digital platforms, collaborates with the hotel’s Marketing team to maintain current images and descriptions for the hotel, various room types, outlets, and services.
Facilitates collaboration and communication between the GRC and Distribution services teams to ensure alignment and efficient operations.
Maintains connections with competitors in the local market to consistently monitor industry trends and developments.
Motivate, guide, and oversee the performance of all team members to drive outstanding guest service and high employee satisfaction levels.
Proactively assists properties in revenue management functions, particularly where revenue managers are absent, or revenue management expertise is lacking in system utilization and routine operational duties.
Serves as the initial pilot site for evaluating new reports, tools, or systems before their full-scale deployment across the broader field team.
The incumbent is tasked with examining revenue standard operating procedures (SOP) and ensuring their proper implementation across all properties.
Providing first-line support for revenue management system usage across area hotels, this role involves executing daily, weekly, and monthly revenue tasks in alignment with the Accor RM task list.
Whenever strategic factors—such as adjustments in pricing, shifts in business mix, modifications to allotment allocations, or any other issue capable of substantially influencing a property’s financial performance—arise, prompt immediate escalation for a more comprehensive review by the Revenue, Distribution, and Risk Management (RDRM) team.
At a minimum, monthly progress and findings in area hotels are reported to the RDRM, along with any newly identified best practices.
Collaborates with Area hotel General Managers by providing performance evaluation feedback for District Revenue Managers.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required. Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, with at least 2 years in a leadership or mentoring capacity. Proficiency in Python, Java, or C++ is essential. Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is preferred. Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and a track record of delivering high-quality solutions are necessary.
A bachelor’s degree in disciplines such as Hotel Administration, Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field is advantageous.
A minimum of four years of Director of Revenue Management experience across multiple hotel properties is required, or alternatively, prior experience as an Area Director of Revenue Management outside of Accor.
