JOB PURPOSE
Responsible for ensuring the secure, precise, and timely preparation, dispensing, and inventory control of medications throughout Premier Hospital’s pharmacy departments, including the First Floor Pharmacy, Chemotherapy Section, Main Pharmacy, and Main Store. The position requires unwavering attention to detail, strict adherence to safety protocols, collaborative teamwork, and full compliance with regulatory standards to uphold exceptional patient care and medication safety.

Provide support to clinical teams by addressing drug-related inquiries and conducting prescription evaluations.
Oversee medication requirements for both outpatient and inpatient services originating from the First Floor Pharmacy.
The role involves performing duties within the chemotherapy section, ensuring adherence to established protocols and safety standards. Responsibilities include preparing and administering chemotherapy agents, monitoring patients for adverse reactions, and maintaining accurate documentation of treatments. Assist with the meticulous preparation, precise labeling, and accurate dispensing of chemotherapy medications while strictly adhering to established safety protocols.
Maintain adherence to oncology-specific procedures and ensure the proper use of protective equipment.
Work collaboratively with oncology staff to confirm the accuracy of chemotherapy prescriptions and verify appropriate dosing.
Efficiently oversee and maintain accurate records of inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock availability and minimizing shortages or excesses. Implement and monitor stock control procedures to track the movement of goods, reconcile discrepancies, and adhere to established inventory policies. Regularly analyze stock data to identify trends, forecast demand, and support strategic decision-making for procurement and replenishment activities. Collaborate with procurement teams to align inventory levels with operational needs while optimizing storage space and reducing carrying costs. Maintain compliance with relevant regulations and company standards to ensure data integrity and operational efficiency.
Oversee the pharmaceutical inventory across multiple dispensing pharmacies, ensuring accurate tracking and replenishment of stock levels to meet operational demands.
Verify stock rotation occurs punctually, avert product expirations, and uphold precise inventory documentation.
Oversee the entirety of pharmacy operations, ensuring seamless and efficient workflow management. Coordinate daily activities, including inventory control, prescription fulfillment, and staff scheduling, to maintain optimal performance. Implement and enforce compliance with all regulatory standards and pharmacy policies.
Develop and process medication orders for hospitalized patients across general wards and specialized units.
Responsible for securely storing and managing controlled substances to maintain safety and compliance at all times.
Attend ward rounds as needed to provide medication-related interventions.
Ensure prescriptions, stock movements, and patient transactions are recorded with precision and accuracy.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS
Holders of a Diploma in Pharmacy are required for this position.
Requires a minimum of two years of relevant experience, with at least one year obtained in a high-volume hospital environment.
Demonstrated expertise in utilizing the MS Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, is required.
