The Clinical Officer will report directly to the Deputy Director of Human Resource Management, tasked with delivering clinical services to institute employees and their dependents as required to promote a healthy workforce.

Delivering appropriate care to employees and their dependents involves conducting thorough patient assessments, performing detailed examinations, establishing accurate diagnoses, and suggesting suitable treatment options.
Staff members are directed to appropriate healthcare providers to facilitate the receipt of suitable care and treatment for themselves and their dependents.
Efficiently oversee and coordinate the dispensing of prescribed medications/pharmaceuticals to ensure strict compliance with established standards and protocols.
To safeguard the Institute’s resources, oversee the correct allocation and management of medical supplies, thereby preventing loss, damage, or unnecessary wastage.
Responsibilities include validating received goods against corresponding invoices to confirm the accuracy of billed amounts before authorizing payments.
The position involves reviewing and authorizing requisitions for pharmaceuticals, laboratory reagents, and other essential medical supplies to ensure seamless clinical operations.
Responsible for executing and validating medical claims and reimbursement documents.
Planning and educating employees on diverse health topics in collaboration with pertinent government bodies to broaden their understanding.
Providing guidance and support to staff regarding health concerns to mitigate potential impacts on workplace performance and operations.
Collecting data through health surveys, such as assessing the prevalence of alcohol, drug, and substance abuse among employees, is essential to determine the scope of the issue and guide subsequent interventions.

Person Specifications
To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
A recognized institution must award a Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Medicine and Surgery or an equivalent qualification.
A recognized institution must have awarded a minimum GCSE grade of C+ (Plus) or its equivalent.
Registered with the Clinical Officers Council of Kenya.
A currently active and valid professional license issued by the College of Chiropractors is required.
Earn a Certificate in Computer Applications, demonstrating proficiency in essential software tools and digital competencies.
Ensure full compliance with the stipulations outlined in Chapter Six of the Constitution.
