Overseeing core responsibilities and delivering strategic outcomes, the role entails ensuring operational efficiency, maintaining high standards of service quality, and fostering team collaboration to achieve organizational objectives. Oversee and facilitate the case management process for individuals by leading the development and implementation of Biopsychosocial Assessments (BIA) and Individualized Service Plans (BID) within field offices.

Deliver mentorship and assistance to community supervisors and workers by providing hands-on training and guidance, aimed at strengthening their case management skills and overall competencies.

Develop a comprehensive capacity-building strategy aimed at enhancing the skills and competencies of caseworkers and other key stakeholders engaged in the BIA & BID process.

Engage proactively in collaborative interagency forums, including BID panels, CPWG sessions, and case conferences convened at the field office level.

Review and evaluate training schedules for caseworkers to ensure efficient execution of the BID/BIA process, offering specialized technical assistance and guidance to facilitate seamless implementation.

Ensure the prompt administration of data and documentation related to cases at the camp level, while coordinating with MEAL assistants to maintain accurate records of children’s information in the CPMs database and to update case progress regularly.

Develop comprehensive contingency strategies for the program as required, ensuring robust preparedness for potential disruptions.

Deliver expert technical assistance for intricate cases or challenging technical issues.

Prepare concise and punctual progress reports that incorporate quantitative and qualitative data pertaining to Child Protection initiatives, and contribute to routine situation reports as well as monthly and quarterly updates.

Ensure the accurate administration of BID/BIA documentation at the camp level, encompassing thorough case reviews.

Facilitate periodic interviews and in-home assessments with key stakeholders, including the child, their family members, guardians, educators, and community leaders, to gather comprehensive information and insights.

Attend camp-level interagency meetings to actively contribute to discussions and forge partnerships with other organizations, government entities, and community stakeholders, ensuring child protection concerns are identified, prioritized, and effectively resolved.

You must adhere to all pertinent Save the Children policies and procedures, including those related to child protection, code of conduct, health and safety, security, equal opportunities, and any other relevant guidelines.

Oversee the scheduling of annual leave and time off for caseworkers to ensure minimal disruption to program activities.

Gather essential data and collaborate with the MEAL team on a monthly schedule to verify accurate data capture.

Forge strategic partnerships and cultivate relationships with external stakeholders, prioritizing the elevation and resolution of child protection concerns.

Responsible for overseeing the identification and ongoing tracking of children placed in alternative care arrangements, as well as conducting evaluations and follow-ups with foster parents and appointed guardians to ensure compliance and well-being.

Ensure that the placement of children in alternative care complies with SCI procedures and aligns with the Kenya Alternative Care Guidelines (Guidelines for Alternative Care of Children in Kenya, 2011).

Gather complaints and feedback obtained during field activities, then promptly relay this information to MEAL officers to facilitate updates to the CFRM database.

Escalate any serious complaints and feedback to the program manager and the designated child safeguarding focal point in the field office.
