Serves as the Chief Executive Officer, classified at the ADAM 1 level.

A monthly salary ranging from KSS. 260,000 to Kshs. 460,000 is offered for this position.

This position is appointed for a three-year term, with the possibility of renewal for an additional three-year period.

Administers and oversees daily operations to ensure seamless workflow efficiency. Manages project timelines, coordinates team activities, and allocates resources effectively. Resolves conflicts, fosters collaboration, and maintains high standards of performance. Develops and implements policies to uphold organizational guidelines. Tracks progress through regular assessments and reports. Ensures compliance with industry regulations and company protocols.

The Chief Executive Officer will oversee and direct all aspects of the organization, ensuring strategic alignment with long-term objectives and operational excellence. This role entails establishing and implementing high-level policies, fostering innovation, and maintaining accountability to stakeholders. Additionally, the CEO will lead executive leadership teams, drive financial performance, and cultivate a culture of integrity, collaboration, and continuous improvement. The position demands a proven track record in senior executive leadership, exceptional decision-making skills, and the ability to navigate complex business challenges while upholding ethical standards.

Crafting the yearly financial forecasts and implementing robust internal control systems.

The implementation and dissemination of the Board’s strategies, decisions, and policies form the core responsibilities of this role.

The annual business plans for the Agency are developed and subsequently recommended to the Board.

To establish and maintain a robust management framework for the Agency, including the development and implementation of comprehensive succession plans.

Diligently preparing Board papers that are precise, pertinent, and delivered to members promptly, ensuring full compliance with procedural and informational requirements.

Act as the intermediary between the Board of Directors and senior management, facilitating seamless communication and ensuring alignment of strategic objectives.

To fulfill the Agency’s goals effectively, the position will focus on delivering measurable outcomes aligned with established objectives.

Designing and implementing robust administrative frameworks, streamlined processes, and efficient systems to support organizational operations.

Delivering consistent, detailed, and timely updates to the Board regarding critical technical, financial, and administrative developments is essential.

Stakeholder management plays a pivotal role in fostering strong relationships and maintaining transparent communication with key parties. Additionally, elevating the Agency’s corporate image is essential to reinforcing its reputation, credibility, and overall perception in the industry and among the public.

Executing directives issued by the Board to ensure strategic objectives are met, and organizational policies are upheld efficiently and effectively.

Daily oversight of the Agency’s operations, with a primary focus on executing policies and programs related to anti-doping initiatives, among other duties.

Fostering education and awareness initiatives is essential to the role, ensuring stakeholders are informed and engaged.

Conduct comprehensive research to gather, analyze, and interpret data relevant to the role’s objectives. Systematically investigate trends, patterns, and insights to inform decision-making and strategic planning. Utilize both qualitative and quantitative methods to ensure thorough and accurate findings. Maintain meticulous documentation of sources, methodologies, and results to support evidence-based conclusions. Collaborate with stakeholders to align research outcomes with organizational goals and drive actionable recommendations.

Testing.

Conducting thorough and meticulous investigations is a critical responsibility of this role. This involves gathering and analyzing evidence, interviewing witnesses, and documenting findings to ensure accuracy and completeness. Additionally, the incumbent will assess the credibility of information, identify patterns or anomalies, and prepare detailed reports to support decision-making processes. Collaboration with relevant stakeholders, adherence to legal and ethical standards, and maintaining confidentiality throughout the process are essential requirements for success in this position.

Results Management involves overseeing and optimizing performance metrics to ensure organizational goals are met efficiently. This includes analyzing data, setting KPIs, and implementing strategies to enhance productivity and outcomes. Responsibilities encompass monitoring progress, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights to stakeholders. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data-driven tools are essential, along with the ability to communicate findings clearly to diverse audiences.

The position involves providing administrative assistance to the Therapeutic Use Exemption Committee, ensuring efficient and organized operations.

The Agency’s strategic plan, along with any supplementary plans, must be formulated, developed, and executed to effectively fulfill the Agency’s mandate.

The role involves overseeing and coordinating staff activities, ensuring efficient team operations, and managing personnel resources effectively.

Any duties or tasks as may be assigned by the Board from time to time.

The Chief Executive Officer will serve as Secretary to the Board, ensuring accurate recording and management of board proceedings and communications.

Applicants must meet specific qualifications to be considered for the position. A relevant degree in the specified field or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Candidates should possess at least three years of professional experience in a related role. Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills are essential. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools is also necessary. Additionally, the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment is expected.

The position of Chief Executive Officer shall be filled only by individuals who meet the following criteria:

Requires a postgraduate qualification from an accredited institution, coupled with a minimum of five years of professional experience in sports or administrative roles.

Possesses expertise and hands-on experience in Anti-doping regulations and procedures.

Conducts duties in accordance with Article VI of the Constitution.
