The ideal candidate will be instrumental in enhancing departmental leadership, optimizing operational systems, and cultivating a high-performance team culture, all while maintaining seamless lodge operations in a remote setting.

Oversee and execute a range of critical tasks, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and operational standards. Lead cross-functional initiatives, foster collaboration among teams, and deliver measurable results in line with established deadlines and quality benchmarks. Prepare detailed reports on progress, performance, and key metrics to provide stakeholders with actionable insights. Serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining strong professional relationships. Identify opportunities for process improvements, implement strategic solutions, and optimize workflows to enhance efficiency and productivity. Manage budgets, allocate resources effectively, and ensure adherence to financial and compliance guidelines. Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous growth.

Provide leadership and direction to every operational department, encompassing Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Kitchen, and Guides.

Provide exceptional guest experiences by actively hosting and overseeing service standards with unwavering consistency.

Mentor and support department heads to uphold accountability, foster effective communication, and maintain high professional standards.

Support the General Manager in optimizing operational logistics, procurement processes, inventory management, and expense control.

Supervise day-to-day lodge activities and ensure staff adherence to established policies and procedures in the General Manager’s absence.

Work closely with the General Manager to develop operational strategies, manage budgetary allocations, and prepare accurate financial reports.

Key requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, along with a minimum of three years of hands-on experience in the industry. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools is essential, as is the ability to work effectively both independently and within a collaborative team environment. Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to continuous learning are also critical for success in this role. Additionally, candidates must demonstrate excellent communication abilities and a customer-focused mindset to ensure high levels of satisfaction and engagement.

Extensive experience in hospitality management or lodge operations is required.

Experienced in fostering guest relations and overseeing operational efficiency, with a proven ability to enhance service quality and satisfaction. Demonstrates expertise in managing day-to-day activities to ensure seamless and positive guest experiences.

Demonstrated capability in directing and mentoring teams comprising 20 or more employees.

Demonstrates a comprehensive grasp of lodge logistics, inventory management, and operational frameworks.

Skilled in guiding teams, fostering clear dialogue, and building strong professional relationships.

Preferred candidates will have prior experience in safari lodges or other remote hospitality settings.
