KHF is in search of an energetic and meticulous Assistant IT and Communications Officer to oversee the Federation’s IT infrastructure and spearhead its communications, digital strategy, and member outreach efforts. This position demands a versatile candidate who excels in both resolving technical network challenges and crafting engaging member newsletters.

Oversee and execute a comprehensive range of critical duties, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and operational standards. Develop, implement, and monitor strategic initiatives to enhance efficiency, productivity, and overall performance. Collaborate cross-functionally with diverse teams to foster innovation, streamline processes, and achieve collective goals. Lead project management efforts, including planning, execution, and evaluation, while maintaining strict adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality benchmarks. Provide leadership in decision-making processes, offering data-driven insights and solutions to address challenges and capitalize on opportunities. Serve as a liaison between senior management and operational teams to ensure clear communication, transparency, and accountability at all levels.

Seeking a skilled professional with expertise in Information Technology to oversee and optimize our technological infrastructure. This role requires proficiency in managing networks, systems, and software applications, ensuring seamless operations and robust cybersecurity measures. Duties include maintaining hardware, troubleshooting technical issues, implementing upgrades, and providing user support. Candidates must possess a degree in Computer Science or a related field, along with relevant certifications such as Compton A+, Network+, or CISSP. Strong problem-solving abilities, analytical mindset, and excellent communication skills are essential. Experience in IT service management, cloud computing, or cybersecurity is highly advantageous.

Oversee the administration and upkeep of KHF’s IT infrastructure, encompassing networks, servers, hardware, and software systems.

Deliver prompt frontline technical support to employees, resolving hardware and software-related issues while coordinating with third-party vendors to manage escalated support requests.

Ensure the protection of data integrity, oversee regular backups, and enforce adherence to IT policies, incorporating leading cybersecurity practices throughout all operations.

Oversee the administration of licenses, subscriptions, and the acquisition of IT hardware and services. Ensure the seamless maintenance and support of KHF’s website, intranet, and collaborative tools within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.

Facilitate the planning and technical oversight of both virtual and in-person events and webinars.

Crafting and disseminating key messages across various platforms, the Communications role serves as a vital link between the organization and its diverse audiences. Responsible for developing strategic communication plans, this position ensures alignment with organizational goals while maintaining brand consistency. The role involves creating compelling content, including press releases, social media updates, and internal communications, tailored to engage stakeholders effectively. Additionally, the Communications professional monitors media coverage, manages public relations efforts, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to amplify messaging. Strong writing skills, strategic thinking, and proficiency in digital tools are essential to succeed in this dynamic position.

Craft and implement KHF’s digital communications strategy, disseminating it across the website, email campaigns, and social media channels.

Craft and distribute member communications such as newsletters, advisories, and event invitations to ensure timely and relevant information dissemination.

Develop engaging multimedia content, graphics, and infographics that reflect and reinforce KHF’s brand identity.

Oversee KHF’s social media platforms, expanding reach and engagement while tracking performance metrics. Assist in crafting policy documents, reports, presentations, and publications tailored for both internal teams and external stakeholders.

Preserve KHF’s brand consistency across all communication materials and platforms that engage with members.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required, along with a minimum of five years of hands-on experience in software development, preferably with a focus on full-stack development. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript is essential, as is experience with frameworks like React, Angular, or Node.js. Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset are critical. Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and DevOps practices is a plus. Candidates must demonstrate a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions.

A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Communications, or a related discipline is required.

With a minimum of three years of experience in IT support, communications, or a combined IT/communications capacity—ideally within a membership organization, NGO, or professional association—you will bring proven expertise to this role.

Proven expertise in overseeing website management using WordPress or comparable content management systems, alongside proficiency in operating email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp, Constant Contact, or similar tools.

Proficiency with graphic design software is essential, including Canva, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Express, or comparable tools.

A solid grasp of networking principles, cloud services, and foundational IT security concepts is required.

Strong writing and editing abilities are essential, with the capacity to craft polished, professional content tailored to varied audiences.

Proven expertise in utilizing social media management tools along with analytics platforms is required.
