Position Overview

The Swimming Pool Attendant/Boat Rider is responsible for maintaining the safety, comfort, and satisfaction of guests utilizing the hotel’s swimming pool and boating amenities. This position merges guest service, vigilant safety oversight, and equipment management to provide an exceptional recreational experience.

Oversee and execute a range of critical duties, including but not limited to [specific tasks such as project management, team coordination, data analysis, or client relations], ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and industry standards. Collaborate cross-functionally with various departments to streamline processes, enhance productivity, and drive sustainable growth. Monitor progress through key performance indicators, adapting strategies as needed to meet evolving business demands and maintain competitive advantage. Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement while upholding the highest ethical and professional standards. Serve as a liaison between leadership and operational teams to facilitate transparent communication and seamless execution of strategic initiatives.

Monitor guest safety by actively patrolling pool and boating areas to identify and mitigate potential hazards, ensuring adherence to established safety protocols. Respond immediately to any emergencies, providing a secure environment for all guests while enforcing regulations to minimize risks and maintain overall safety standards.

Facility Maintenance involves ensuring the cleanliness of the pool deck, boats, and adjacent areas, as well as monitoring water quality and promptly reporting any issues that arise.

Operate and secure boats, life jackets, and poolside equipment while ensuring proper storage and maintenance.

Assist guests with their poolside requirements, boat tours, and recreational activities, delivering clear guidance and friendly service to ensure a positive experience.

Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with lifeguards, recreation staff, and hotel management to plan and deliver seamless guest activities.

Qualifications

Strong swimming proficiency is required, with a preference for candidates holding a lifeguard certification.

Prior experience in the safe operation of small boats or watercraft is required.

First Aid Training: Possession of valid CPR and First Aid certification is strongly preferred.

A background in hospitality, including prior roles at hotels, resorts, or recreational facilities, is highly beneficial.

Must possess excellent communication skills to engage warmly and professionally with guests from various backgrounds.
